Two New Gefen Scalers Enable Clean Signal Conversions Between Digital and Analog Video Formats

Two new scalers from the GefenTV line of prosumers solutions enable seamless signal up and down converting with support for hi-def and legacy equipment.

The GefenTV HDMI to Composite Scaler and the Composite to HDMI Scaler both enable an easy, plug and play method of connecting digital video from an HDMI source to a composite or s -video display or from a composite/s -video source to a display using an HDMI connection. Originally designed to enable consumers to integrate disparate equipment in their home theater systems, both scalers are compatible with new consumer devices using HDMI and composite/s -video legacy formats including CRT -based displays.

GefenTV HDMI to Composite Scaler
This scaler performs a seamless down scaling of the HDMI input, enabling it to be viewed on a legacy s -video or
composite CRT display or projector. It simplifies an otherwise complicated conversion from digital to analog without requiring additional tweaks. HDMI input resolutions are supported to 1080i with scalable video output to 480i resolutions with a separate analog left/right audio output to support a complete audio/video setup.

GefenTV Composite to HDMI Scaler
For those wanting their legacy composite/s -video source to output 1080p full HD, this scaler offers video up scaling through the front panel buttons and on -screen display menu. It accepts any composite/s -video signal and upscales it for connecting today's most cutting -edge displays and projectors. It offers automatic resolution detection, 48Mb frame memory for frame conversion and delivers full hi -def video with separate digital and analog audio support.
