SYRACUSE, N.Y. (April 18, 2008) - Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S), a leading manufacturer of electrical wiring devices and home systems, introduces its Recessed Television Boxes, offering clean installation with the versatility to handle up to 12 multimedia connections while providing surge protected power.
The P&S Recessed TV Boxes are ideal for flat -screen TVs, home office, kitchen counter tops and behind furniture to allow snug -to -wall placement. They're available in all inclusive kits with Cat 5e, F -connector, old work and TVSS receptacles to protect costly electronics from potentially damaging surges.
The recessed design saves space and simplifies connections to cable or satellite boxes, DVRs, DVD players, surround -sound systems and more. Plugs and multimedia connections stay recessed behind the wall surface. Snap -on end caps hide mounting screws for a clean, finished appearance, and metal swing brackets ensure a solid mounting.
"Today's homeowners demand more multimedia than ever before, and the recessed TV boxes provide convenient connections that are equally suitable behind a flat screen TV or in plain sight," said Tom Roy, residential product manager at P&S. "These 1 -piece, easy to install products have the versatility to please contractors and homeowners."
The Boxes are compatible with all P&S Keystone low -voltage connectors including Cat 5e and F connectors, both supplied with the TVSS kit, as well as RCA and audio binding posts. The Boxes accept standard TP wall plates.
