Atlona Introduces the AVS Series and AT -Line -Pro2

Atlona Technologies takes legacy devices in to the HD world with 4 all new scalers.

The Transition into the digital video age is years from being complete, and until it is, consumers will have to figure out how to use their older analog components with their newer HDTV displays.

Atlona Technologies' new series of composite and S -Video converters and scalers are designed to ease this transition, and with pricing starting at $199, they'll do it without breaking the bank. This trio of units enables older analog audio video devices to be integrated into a modern digital system via Component, DVI, or HDMI outputs. Along with conversion, these units pack a scaler that will up convert analog signals toward the HDTV realm of 1080i and 720p. Analog audio can even be integrated with video through one wire with the HDMI unit.

For consumers looking for an all -in -one solution, the new re -designed Line Pro 2 by Atlona Technologies is a scaler that will allow almost any video source to be viewed on a HDTV display. The device works by doubling the lines in your interlaced video, taking that standard definition from say your old Nintendo Game cube, with a native resolution of 480p, and up scaling the video to 720p, or even 1080i. The re -design includes the adding of a VGA port to the unit, which already boast connections for Composite video, component, S -Video, and HDMI. With the addition of the VGA port, you will able to connect your computer to your new plasma.

This little black box is packed with features including PAL/NTSC conversion, Switching, Up/down scaling, and it even makes Julian fries! Ok maybe not the fries, but you get the picture. This unit is kind to your wallet, with a MSRP of only $579. Atlona Technologies has been putting out quality products for about three years now, and have quickly caught up to some of the bigger names in the industry. Look out for the AT -Line -Pro2 by Atlona Technologies at Booth #C11428 in the Sands expo area of NAB 2008.
