900 MHz bandwidth with bi -directional transmission

Montreal, Canada - MuxLab Inc (www.muxlab.com), a designer and manufacturer of security video and audio -video connectivity solutions for copper twisted pair, announces its latest addition for the broadband/CATV market…..The CATV Hub (500300, 500301, 500303, 500304).

Developed for the commercial and residential market, the CATV Hub allows terrestrial broadband RF video and Internet signal to be distributed to multiple RF receivers via Cat5 unshielded twisted pair cable. The CATV Hub is available in two (2) configurations; Desktop eight (8) ports: 500300/500301 and rack mount sixteen (16) ports: 500303/500304. Applications include; private RF systems, residential CATV, hotel guestroom TV and business channel distribution.

The CATV Hub features a built -in RF amplifier and has a 900 MHz bandwidth for maximum cabling versatility. The CATV Hub features bi -directional capability thereby supporting both upstream and downstream Internet transmission as well as the higher digital cable channels. Maximum distance dependant on input power, channel frequency and receiver sensitivity.

The CATV Hub works in conjunction with MuxLab's passive CATV Balun II (500302), features built -in gain amplification and port buffering, allowing it to be cascaded with other CATV/RF equipment for a more complete cabling solution.
