Antec Launches the VERIS™ Series of Media Components

Antec introduces two new components for the home entertainment system market

Antec, Inc., the leading global provider of high -performance computer components for the PC upgrade and Do -It -Yourself markets, has launched its VERIS™ series of media components.

The VERIS series features the Fusion Black 430, an updated version of Antec's original Fusion home theater PC (HTPC). It boasts an IR receiver compatible with Microsoft Windows® MCE and VISTA™ to enable the use of a remote control. In addition, the LCD display remains bright and accessible even in a darkened home theater.

The Fusion Black 430, like the Fusion, has been designed to enable users to incorporate a PC into their home multimedia systems. To isolate fan noise and vibration, the Fusion Black's structure has a triple -chamber design separating the 430 -Watt power supply, hard drives and motherboard. In addition, hard drive brackets are fitted with silicone grommets to absorb vibrations for Quiet Computing™. Keeping internal components cool are two 120mm TriCool™ three -speed fans. On top of that, the Fusion Black 430 will feature a high -efficiency 80 PLUS compliant 430 -Watt power supply, designed to lower your electrical bill with no reduction in quality performance. The sleek black design of the media center case ensures that the Fusion Black will blend seamlessly into home entertainment systems.

The VERIS™ series also includes the A/V Cooler, a cooling solution for home entertainment systems. The A/V Cooler utilizes two fans to stop heat from rising by rapidly blowing hot air away from media components, preventing systems from overheating or damaging neighboring components of the entertainment system. As well as ensuring safe and efficient operation, the A/V Cooler maximizes the lifespan of expensive home theater equipment.

"As more and more people pursue the digital lifestyle, Antec allows users to move their PCs to the living room to create and customize attractive home multimedia systems," said Scott Richards, senior vice president of Antec. "The VERIS™ line of media components appeals not only to those who want to integrate computers into their living room, but also to the wider group who are interested in maintaining and upgrading their existing entertainment systems."

The VERIS™ line is currently composed of the Fusion Black 430, A/V Cooler, Fusion 430 and the MX -1. The Fusion 430 includes all the original features of the Fusion with the addition of an IR receiver. The MX -1, a high performance portable hard drive enclosure, was released earlier this year.

The A/V Cooler and the Fusion Black 430 are available now through major retailers, e -tailers, and distributors. The A/V Cooler will retail for approximately $119.95. The Fusion Black 430 will retail for approximately $219.00. Both are backed by Antec's Quality 3 -Year Warranty.
