Draper Offers Industry's First "Green" Screens

Draper, Inc. has announced the industry's first projection screens to receive the GREENGUARD® for Children and Schools certification for indoor air quality.

(SPICELAND, IND) -Draper, Inc. has announced the industry's first projection screens to receive the GREENGUARD® for Children and Schools certification for indoor air quality. The Greenguard Environmental Institute™ (GEI) GREENGUARD for Children and Schools performance -based standards define goods with low chemical and particle emissions for use in schools and other buildings. They are the strictest such standards on the market.

"Its important to parents of children, its important to people who have asthma and allergies, sensitivities generally, that have unexplained illnesses, to think about the products that they purchase," according to Carl Smith, the Executive Director and CEO of the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. "Increasingly we're seeing more adults and children are having problems with the air they breathe in the enclosed spaces where they live and work."

Draper's Matt White, M1300, HiDef Grey and High Contrast Grey front projection viewing surfaces will continue to be tested quarterly to insure they meet the most stringent indoor air quality standards on the market.

"About 120 product manufacturers represent the GREENGUARD certification mark on their products in the marketplace," Smith says, "but Draper is one of the very few that cover any of the product areas Draper sells."

The GreenGuard -certified screen materials are part of Draper's EcoVision™ range of earth -friendly products, including window shades and gym equipment.
