DENVER, CO - September 5, 2007 - NetStreams™, the global leader in networked audio/video distribution based on Internet Protocol (IP), launched two new IP -Based in -wall LCD touch screen controllers at the CEDIA Expo, the world's largest exposition devoted to whole house entertainment and control systems. Featuring NetStreams' largest screen size to date, the new TouchLinX™ TL700 features a 7 -inch LCD touch screen, while the new TouchLinX TL430 features a 4.3 -inch LCD touch screen. The new controllers offer menus and graphics with higher resolutions, are designer -friendly, and require little or no programming by installers.
Made for use with NetStreams' DigiLinX™ IP -Based Multi -Room Audio/Video and Control solution, both the TouchLinX TL700 and TL430 feature NetStreams' StreamNet™ technology and include a built -in microphone for integrated intercom, room -to -room paging, zone monitoring, as well as an IR receiver. Both models feature attractive LCD touchscreens with a widescreen aspect ratio, and anti -glare resistance.
"At last year's CEDIA Expo, our customers requested larger size versions of our IP -Based in -wall LCD touch screens and we heard them," said Kevin Reinis, President and CEO of NetStreams. "These two new models greatly expand the in -wall control options for the system, have a very slim profile and look great."
Encased in 'slim line hardware,' at only 1¼" in -wall depth (installed), these are some of the slimmest, most elegant touch screens on the market.
Both the TouchLinX TL700 and TL430 offer unique features such as an IP Intercom for whole house paging, room -to -room paging, and room monitoring. They also can display meta -data (artist, album, song, cover art and play list), control any audio / video source connected, as well as any lighting systems, HVAC, IP cameras, security, and other home automation functions. The front of the unit includes an IR receiver to enable control from a universal remote, as well as the ability to pass through IR commands to control sources anywhere on the DigiLinX network.
The user interface for each TouchLinX can be easily customized to suit any interior design by a NetStreams' authorized DigiLinX dealer, thanks to variety of standard and designer skins available in the DigiLinX Dealer Setup system configuration software. The standard interface also allows for customizable color backgrounds and buttons to match individual décor and tastes. NetStreams also provides a variety of decorative, magnetic faceplates that come in popular colors and high quality finishes: white, almond, ivory, black, chrome and brushed nickel (sold separately). Both models feature elegantly backlit hard buttons for easy system ON/OFF control, paging and volume up/down.
"These two new touch screens for the DigiLinX system greatly expand the options for our dealers and the consumer." said Petro Shimonishi, NetStreams Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. "Additionally, dealers can realize tangible benefits of IP -Based technology thanks to easy installation and minimal programming. There's no question that IP -Based products are the future for the industry. With NetStreams, dealers can offer a completely IP -based solution to their customers today that is compatible with the future."
NetStreams has also designed the TouchLinX to be one of the easiest to install and program on the market. The two new models include butterfly tabs for easy mounting, as well as a 2 -port Ethernet switch and power in/out connections for cascading of a SpeakerLinX™ IP Amplifier / room controller for easy home run wiring from the room. Additionally, both models feature a Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Windows® CE embedded operating system and Adobe® (NASDAQ: ADBE) Flash® player, allowing elegant and animation -rich user interfaces.
Both the TouchLinX TL700 and the TouchLinX TL430 in -wall LCD touch screens will be available end of September.
