Russound iBridge Bay Integrates iTunes Media with RNET

New iBridge Bay Lets Consumers Enjoy iTunes Content Throughout the Home

Russound®, the #1 brand in multiroom audio, will soon ship the iBridge Bay -a device that combines with an Apple Mac Mini computer and iTunes® to become a media server for a multiroom audio -video system. From any zone in the system, users can access digital content, including video and photos. With the iBridge Bay, any iTunes content on an affordable Mac Mini becomes available throughout a Russound RNET system.

"The iBridge Bay simplifies and extends the user's access to music, photos, and video in their home," says Andy Lewis, Russound's Senior Product Manager. "With the iBridge Bay, consumers can enjoy multiroom iTunes media distribution through an affordable, modular solution. Integrators can help their customers get the most out of their iTunes content with the reliability and functionality they expect from Russound."

The iBridge Bay offers a fixed in -home solution for managing music, photographs and video through one convenient device that fits snugly beneath an Apple Mac Mini, which acts as a single -stream media server. Users can even access videos purchased from iTunes, or any other files in iTunes' video format, and display them on a television or monitor connected to the Russound RNET multiroom audio -video system.

Designed to adapt a Mac Mini into a dedicated media server, the iBridge Bay gives full control of iTunes media to RNET keypads and touchscreens. Users are able to control iTunes functions such as Play, Pause, Next Song, Previous Song, Playlist Up, and Playlist Down. Touchscreens like the UNO -TS2 and UNO -TS2D allow added features such as the ability to select media by playlist, genre, artist, or album. Users can exit the RNET system with the touch of a button and return to the Mac Mini's operating system.

The iBridge Bay will be available for consumers in the second quarter of 2007.
