Qsonix begins shipping a major new release of its music management software platform, available on all models and as an upgrade to existing Qsonix users.

Qsonix customers will now enjoy the most reliable, friendly and fun way to manage their music library with seamlessly integrated new features such as iPod™ loading, CD burning, Intelligent Music Import, Volume Leveling, RS232 serial integration with leading home automation systems from Crestron™, AMX™, Russound™, Xantech™ and others, System Backup/Restore, automatic Internet upgrades, and more.

Qsonix offers music management systems capable of storing up to 15,000 CDs and enable users to quickly and easily manage their music collections using the systems included touch screen controller. By simply utilizing their fingers and the touch screen, Qsonix users are able to drag and drop individual tracks or complete albums to create, manage and play their music playlists, eliminating the use of frustrating menus or complicated steps found on other systems.
All Q100 models including the newly introduced 800GB large capacity system now ship standard with version 2.0. Existing Qsonix users are encouraged to contact their installer or Qsonix sales to obtain details about upgrading to version 2.0.

Version 2.0 - Highlights
iPod™ Integration - Quickly, easily transfer your Qsonix playlists, media and album art to the iPod™ in .wav or compressed formats.

CD Burning - Burn full -quality audio CDs using your stored playlists or the Now Playing Queue with only a couple of button presses. Easily rearrange track order and make custom mix discs from your Qsonix library.

External USB Backup & Recovery - Easily backup your Q100 music library and playlists to external USB storage devices.

Crestron™ and RS232 - Serial Control - Version 2.0 includes very robust bi -directional RS -232 control protocol for integrating and controlling the Q100 from other home automation control systems .

Intelligent Music Import - Users that have already ripped or digitally stored their music can now easily import their digital music collections from other PCs, servers or external USB drives. Qsonix recognizes already ripped or downloaded files and retrieves and cleans up associated meta -data including cover art, all automatically. No more duplicates, misspelled artists, missing cover art, etc.

Direct Play - Queue up an album or playlist immediately with one click - Just Press Play

Automatic Internet Updates - Future Qsonix upgrades and enhancements will be automatically downloaded via the Internet directly from Qsonix. Your Q100 system and experience will just get better and better.

Customize your album art - Quickly and easily import your own album covers for your personal compilation CDs or to customize covers for any album in your collection.

Photo Screensaver - The Qsonix screensaver now allows you to specify any network location as the source of images to display while the screensaver is active. Display family photos or any customized imagery you desire.

Volume Leveled Playback - Enable/Disable volume leveling for consistent playback volume. Version 2.0 dynamically adjusts volume levels during playback to "level" or "normalize" the volume level.

Wireless Pointer Device Support - View the Qsonix GUI on your TV/HDTV/Display and use a wireless mouse/trackball/pointer device as your remote control. *requires outboard scan converter
