Linear's DMC -10 Intercom Wins 2007 New Product Showcase Award from SIA

Security Industry Association names DMC-10 its top product achievement in the home technologies category at recent ISC/West Exposition.

The latest new home technology product from Linear LLC (Carlsbad, CA) just got a major endorsement. During its recent rollout at the International Security Conference/West in Las Vegas, Linear's DMC -10 intercom was awarded a 2007 New Product Showcase (NPS) award in the Home Technologies category from the Security Industry Association (SIA). NPS is the security industry's premier marketing and awards program. The ISC/West program provides an exceptional venue for introducing new products to security buyers from around the world. With so many industry professionals involved in other home technologies such as residential intercoms, the new DMC -10 is well positioned for success. Linear has priced it more economically and packaged it more competitively than any intercom currently available.

"The NPS award is a wonderful honor," notes Chuck Stevens, Linear's Vice President of Marketing. "It will help bring the DMC -10 to the industry's attention even faster. This is a great addition to any new home."
"We knew we had a winner in the DMC -10, but it means a lot more to receive official recognition from an industry association as strong as SIA," according to Christine Kuta, Product Line Manager. "This is a terrific boost to a product that has already hit the ground running."
The DMC -10 packs more advanced features into its system, so there are fewer separate components to purchase. For instance, competitive intercoms require a master station. The DMC -10 offers hands -free communication from all room stations to the door station and vice versa. Each hub supports up to eight stations - room, patio, or door - plus a door strike. The system supports two hubs and 16 stations. A specially priced DMC -10 kit includes four room stations, one door station, and one hub. A three -tone chime module is built in. Accessories include audio wall plates, a patio station, more room stations, and a second hub. Room and patio station volume are adjusted via simple up and down keys. Background music is muted when the intercom or doorbell is in use.
Styling to fit nearly any décor complements the DMC -10's functionality. Room, patio, and door stations come in white as standard. Additional room station faceplates can be purchased in almond or black. Patio station and door station faceplates can be purchased in antique brass, bright brass, or satin nickel.
