TV One Answers the Call and Adds Eight HD -SDI Inputs to the New C2 -7260

The C2-7260 Dual Channel HD Video Processor will make a grand entrance at NAB with 17 video inputs including eight that are solely dedicated to HD-SDI.

MARGATE, Kent, 13th April 2007 -TV One's new CORIO2® based C2 -7260 Dual Channel HD Video Processor combats the ever growing need for additional HD -SDI inputs. The C2 -7260 features an impressive 17 inputs: eight HD -SDI or SD -SDI, three DVI -I (which also handle RGB, YUV or YPbPr), three Composite Video and three S -Video. The C2 -7260 has two independent outputs channels that each offer HD -SDI or SD -SDI, DVI -I, any RGB format and Composite or S -Video supporting virtually every bi -directional analog -to -HDTV conversion thinkable.


The C2 -7260 is ideal for the broadcast market since it performs multiple functions in one device. It can be used as a HD Video Scaler or Converter, Multi -Format Seamless Switcher and a Dual Picture -in -Picture Device that can accommodate up to five layers of video, including logos. It can also perform as a Chroma/Lumakeyer, Worldwide Standards Converter, Frame Synchronizer/TBC, Aspect Ratio Converter and much more.

The C2 -7260 is operable in several modes consisting of Switcher Mode, Independent Mode and Dual Picture -in -Picture Mode. The Switcher Mode has equally powerful Program and Preview channels that allow any function (Next Image, Picture -in -Picture, Keying, Logo, etc.) to be set up and previewed, totally independent of the Program output. Independent Mode provides all the power of two completely independent scalers in one box, each with a full range of features, including Picture -in -Picture, Keying, Transitions, etc. Each output can deliver different formats and resolutions simultaneously. Dual Picture -in -Picture Mode allows any video input to be placed into either of two windows of any size and positioned anywhere on the screen, even overlapping each other with user defined layer priority control.

The C2 -7260 handles all known HDTV formats plus any analog RGB resolution up to 2048x2048. New or unusual resolutions can be easily added using the software based resolution calculator. It also has 4:4:4 sampling which provides full bandwidth color allowing precise keying, including Transparent (Soft) Keys. It has delay free HD -SDI Audio Pass through. A Logo memory is provided, so the unit can easily be used as a Logo Inserter. Advanced motion compensation (PAL and NTSC) is employed to smooth out fast moving images and its automatic 3:2 Pull -down detection efficiently de -interlaces video from 24 fps film (NTSC). The C2 -7260 also has Edge Blending as a bonus feature.

The C2 -7260 offers several methods of control including the new CORIO EXP Front Panel, Remote control via RS -232 or Ethernet (IP) , Windows Control Panel or the CC -300 CORIOconsole. The optional CC -300 CORIOconsole takes control to the next level by providing the C2 -7260 with the operational feel of a traditional Video Production Switcher. Two rows of 14 buttons, a fader bar, joystick and an integrated LCD touch screen provides access to the C2 -7260's powerful functions with a minimum of keystrokes. Macros are provided to facilitate long, complex command sequences.

The C2 -7260 will have a suggested retail price of £7495 (€11,018) and will be available in June.
