ISE 2007 opened to a quality attendance today as installers, dealers, buyers and members of the press from around the world convened at the Amsterdam RAI to hear from industry leaders and key influencers about the latest innovations and technologies in the AV and Electronic Systems Integration industry. Pre registration so far has already exceeded 15.000 of which almost 50% have already attended the show today, making it a hectic first morning. Mike Blackman, in his official press briefing, was understandably optimistic and excited about this year's event, set to be the most successful edition staged: 'This is an exciting show which reflects the expansion of this market and particularly in Europe where we have seen exponential growth over the last few years. ISE is seen as the mirror of this industry. Again we must give our thanks to the three associations. Their effort and support is a major factor in the continuing success of ISE.'
ISE continues to expand internationally with a growing number of visitors from Scandinavia, the Middle East and particularly Eastern Europe, home of the recent highly successful ISE Roadshows.
And with the first day seeing massive queues build up at registration throughout the morning, Blackman added: 'Within a just a couple of hours of opening, the show has already come alive and exhibitors were delighted to see so many visitors from not only Europe, but also from world wide who had made the journey to Amsterdam to visit the show. And with an expanded range of pavilions and displays, ISE has become more of a magazine to the industry, by offering strong editorial and feature content to support the advertising of products and services.'
Winners of the EMEA InAVation Awards were announced at a special event on the evening before the show opened. These included Electrosonic Ltd, BaSys & Media Control, XL Video, ILife Solutions and iVC Ltd. Over 8000 votes were cast and the Editor of InAVate, Dan Jago was delighted with the response. 'This was a highly successful and well attended event to celebrate those who are driving the business in this growing industry.'
InfoComm Asia 2008 was officially announced at ISE today by the show organizers. Taking place in Hong Kong in November 2008, Terry Friesenborg, Senior VP, InfoComm International® sees the show as a major platform to expand into the Asian market place. 'We are now in a unique position, and the time is right, to deliver a major pan -Asian event. Hong Kong is the ideal location to stage a wonderful meeting point to the international industry'
