WOODBURY, NY - At CES 2007, JBL is introducing a variety of innovative home entertainment products and systems in its suites at the Las Vegas Hilton (January 8 - 11). In a move that reaffirms JBL's position as the foremost manufacturer of consumer and professional loudspeakers, the company is introducing to the United States its flagship Project Everest DD66000 - the finest loudspeaker JBL has ever created. It was designed and manufactured entirely without compromise to set a new standard in audio reproduction.

Also premiering is the JBL On Air Control 2.4G wireless loudspeaker system, which offers high -performance sound quality and wireless -installation convenience. In addition, the company is introducing its ES Series loudspeakers, a complete lineup of models for two -channel and home theater applications that combines upgraded performance with uniquely elegant design, and is showing its premium -quality Studio™ L Series in -wall and in -ceiling speakers.

JBL's CES 2007 exhibit also features its striking, distinctively styled JBL Cinema Sound CS6100 and CS480 compact home theater packages, and a selection of high -end Project Array™ loudspeakers.

Following are highlights of the JBL products and systems featured at CES 2007.

Project Everest DD66000: Attaining Remarkable New Heights in Loudspeaker Performance

Winner of the Best of Innovations 2007 award in the High -Performance Audio category, the extraordinary Project Everest DD66000 loudspeaker combines the heritage of six decades of JBL design expertise with today's most advanced materials, components and technologies to deliver remarkable sonic accuracy and musical realism. The Project Everest DD66000 is featured in active demonstrations during CES.

The DD66000 excels in every sonic respect, with authoritative bass, a pure, detailed midrange and open, extended high -frequency response beyond 50kHz. The DD66000 combines the superlative dynamic range, transient response and "effortless" quality of horn -loaded compression drivers with precise imaging, a three -dimensional soundstage and articulate low -frequency impact. The DD66000 delivers remarkably natural vocal and instrumental reproduction, and faithfully reproduces the sonic environment present on the original recording.

The Project Everest DD66000 is stunning in appearance. Evocative of JBL's legendary Hartsfield and Paragon loudspeakers, the DD66000 combines classic JBL design elements with refined contemporary styling. It features curved and angled surfaces and a contoured horizontal midrange horn that enhances the loudspeaker's distinctive visual appeal.

To achieve its astonishing performance, the Project Everest DD66000 incorporates a host of innovative loudspeaker technologies, such as ultrahigh - and high -frequency compression drivers with pure beryllium diaphragms, operating in conjunction with JBL's exclusive Bi -Radial® horns; dual 15 -inch Aquaplas -treated pulp -cone woofers; a crossover network that employs a DC battery bias system that keeps the capacitors operating in Class A mode for maximum sonic purity; and numerous additional refinements.

The JBL Project Everest DD66000 loudspeaker will be available in the United States in spring 2007 at a suggested retail price of $30,000 each for a rosewood finish, and $35,000 each for premium wood finishes.

JBL On Air: High -Performance Sound and Wireless Speaker Convenience

The JBL On Air Control 2.4G is a high -performance wireless loudspeaker system that includes a pair of wall -mountable loudspeakers that incorporate a wireless transceiver and amplifier; a transmitter/receiver module; and a remote control. The system is ideal for a host of wireless -speaker applications, including use as the surround channels in a multichannel home theater; as a second -room music system; and as a high -quality wireless speaker system for computers, iPod® and digital music players; and other devices.

The On Air Control 2.4G utilizes the 2.4GHz frequency range for interference -free transmission, and the transmitter/receiver module can be used with up to two pairs of JBL On Air speakers. The speakers feature premium components and 30 watts of built -in amplification for natural, richly detailed sound. The active speaker includes a mini -jack input for connection to a second local audio source, and a subwoofer output that enables the speakers to be used as part of a 2.1 -channel satellite/ subwoofer audio system.

The JBL On Air Control 2.4G wireless loudspeaker system will be available in February 2007 at a suggested retail price of $349.

ES Series Loudspeakers: Design Elegance Combined With Sonic Excellence

At CES, JBL is introducing its ES Series loudspeakers, a complete lineup of models for two -channel and home theater applications that combines upgraded performance with a uniquely elegant design. ES Series loudspeakers utilize technologies employed in the company's professional recording studio monitors to deliver exceptional sound quality, and are available in a variety of attractive finishes to complement any home entertainment system and décor.

The JBL ES Series includes eight models: a wall -mount/bookshelf monitor (ES10); two compact bookshelf loudspeakers (ES20, ES30); two floorstanding tower speakers (ES80, ES90); a dedicated center channel loudspeaker (ES25C); and two powered subwoofers (ES150P and ES250P). Suggested retail prices for ES Series loudspeakers range from $349 per pair to $1,098 per pair.

The JBL ES Series features distinctive new styling - tapered enclosures, a unified center section, and a front baffle that curves into the top surface, accented by contrasting side panels. The ES Series will be available in late spring 2007 in a choice of finishes, including black with a platinum center section; beech with a charcoal center; and cherry, also with a charcoal center.

To achieve their superlative performance, ES Series loudspeakers incorporate a number of advanced JBL technologies, including an ultrahigh -frequency transducer that provides extended frequency response to 40kHz, a titanium -laminate tweeter that delivers exceptional resolution, JBL's proprietary PolyPlas™ polymer -coated -cellulose -fiber woofers, and many additional enhancements. ES Series models offer a wealth of installation options, including wall -mounting, to easily fit into any home entertainment system.

In addition to the products making their debut, following is an overview of selected components from JBL's 2007 lineup that the company is showcasing at CES.

JBL Cinema Sound: Striking Design, Expanded Installation Options

The JBL Cinema Sound CS6100 and CS480 compact 5.1 -channel home theater loudspeaker systems (SRP: $1,099 and $799, respectively) combine a sleek, distinctive appearance with natural, musically accurate, high -resolution sound. Both systems, which will ship in late January, include four wall -mountable satellite speakers, a wall -mountable center channel and a powered subwoofer, as well as swivel - and fixed -wall -mount brackets, and cables. The systems are striking in design, with curved and tapered enclosures finished in high -gloss black and accented by black grilles, chrome tops and chrome end caps.

Studio L Series In -Wall and In -Ceiling Speakers: Setting a New Standard for Built -In Sound

JBL has expanded its renowned Studio L Series at CES with the recent introduction of its Studio L in -wall and in -ceiling speakers, six models that are designed to deliver audiophile -quality sound in a wide variety of custom -installation applications. All models feature aluminum -cone woofers, and pure -titanium or titanium -laminate tweeters mounted in JBL's exclusive Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal™ (EOS) waveguide for clear, natural, dynamic sound over a wide listening area. Depending on the model, the speakers feature either a tweeter -level control or both a tweeter -level control and a low -frequency boundary compensation switch, to optimize their performance in any location. The new Studio L Series speakers offer high power -handling capability and are ideal for use in an all -in -wall and in -ceiling installation, or with other JBL freestanding or wall -mountable loudspeakers.

The speakers are paintable and designed for easy installation in both new homes and existing rooms. Optional rough -in frames are available for preconstruction installation. JBL Studio L Series loudspeakers are available at suggested retail prices ranging from $259 to $499 each.

Project Array: Engineered for Extraordinary Sound Quality

JBL's ultrahigh -end Project Array loudspeakers combine JBL's innovative compression -driver technologies with state -of -the -art dynamic drivers to take advantage of the sonic strengths of both designs. The five available models include floorstanding and stand -mounted loudspeakers, a dedicated center channel speaker and a powered subwoofer. Project Array Series loudspeakers deliver extraordinary sonic accuracy and are as distinctive in appearance, with an elegant lacquered -wood finish, complemented by an ultraflat, soft -touch, rubberized black finish for the top surfaces, as they are in performance. Suggested retail prices begin at $3,000 each.
