Introducing the new CAD 12OS Stereo Vacuum Tube Power Amplifier

The 'world debut' of the Classic Series CAD 12OS stereo vacuum tube power amplifier is announced today by Cary Audio Design.

APEX, NC (January 5, 2007) - The 'world debut' of the Classic Series CAD 12OS stereo vacuum tube power amplifier is announced today by Cary Audio Design. This new Classic Series power amplifier will debut at the 2007 CES show, January 8 -11 in Las Vegas. Cary Audio Design will be at the Venetian, Suite 29 -111 in the Venetian Tower, as part of the High Performance Audio group displays.

This innovative new push pull power amplifier is rated at 60 watts per channel in triode mode and 120 watts per channel in ultra linear mode, both rated into an 8 ohm speaker load. The power output is rated at full power from 17 Hz to 23 kHz with rated distortion of less than 1% THD. The output circuit may be switched 'on the fly' from triode mode operation to ultra linear mode by using a front panel mode operation button. There are triode and ultra linear indicator LED lights above the mode operation button to show which mode the power amplifier is working in for visual confirmation.

The vacuum tube complement, for each channel of the CAD 120S, consists of one (1) 6SL7 octal socket vacuum tube for the input stage, one (1) 6SN7 octal socket vacuum tube for the driver stage and four (4) KT 88 pentode output power tubes. The circuit is a Pure Balanced design with separate RCA and XLR inputs. A soft start circuit is built in for long life and easy turn on and it features 2,240 micro farads of capacitance in the power supply section. The output transformers and the power transformer are covered by a single transformer cover painted to match the rest of the chassis.

The chassis is finished in Jaguar Anthracite black paint finish, covered with a hard clear coat finish and comes with a silver anodized aluminum front panel as standard.

Front panel meters indicate the circuit bias setting for each channel for the power amplifier. This visually indicates proper operation for the CAD 120S amplifier.

Vacuum tube complement, total: 2 - 6SL7 inputs, 2 - 6SN7 drivers, 8 - KT 88 output tubes
Weight: 65 lbs
Dimensions: 17" W x 8" H x 14" D

PureLink - HCE III TX/RX: 4K HDR over HDBaseT Extension System w/ Control and Bi-Directional PoE

The HCE III Tx/Rx HDBaseT™ extension system offers full HDMI 2.0 compliance supporting HDR (High Dynamic Range) and 4K@60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling. Featuring PureLink's proprietary Prcis codec, a light compression technology, the HCE III can transport Ultra HD/4K, multi-channel audio, and High Dynamic Range (10 bits support) content over a single CATx cable. The HCE III provides HDMI extension up to 130 feet (40 meters) at Ultra HD/4K and up to 230 ft. (70 meters) at 1080p over category cable with embedded multi-channel audio, CEC pass-through, bi-directional RS-232 and IR control, and PoE - all with zero loss and zero noise. The HCE III Tx/Rx also supports Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio plus LCPM (up to 192 kHz). Additionally, the low profile "slim box" enclosure design make the HCE III ideal for limited space installation environments, such as behind flat panel displays and video walls.
