JACKSONVILLE, FL - January 8, 2007 - Phase Technology, the leading manufacturer of high -fidelity speakers for custom home entertainment systems, introduces the CM -EZ -II in -ceiling speaker. The CM -EZ -II is a premium UL rated (2043 & 1480) speaker which features superior power handling and sensitivity, a six -position tap switch, and a proprietary SnapCam™ spring -loaded mounting system. These features insure its adaptability in residential and commercial applications where both quality sound and fire ratings are required.
The CM -EZ -II incorporates an 8" coaxial system with a polypropylene woofer cone and butyl rubber surround, and a 1" polypropylene balanced -dome tweeter. The CM -EZ -II is a blind -mount speaker with a monstrous 7.3 liter backcan for extended frequency response (54 Hz - 20 kHz, -10 dB).
The new CM -EZ -II puts a premium on easy and cost -effective installation and ordering features. These include:
• Integrated SnapCam™ installation mechanism, a blind -mount system that automatically adapts to various ceiling thicknesses and includes a quick -release feature for easy servicing.
• Easy -access, 6 -position rotary switch with 25/70.7/100 Volt power settings and voice coil/8 Ohm direct bypass.
• Steel tile bridge and paint shield are no -cost options with each speaker, for rapid and secure installation in any drop -tile or drywall ceiling. Pre -construction bracket and junction box are optional.
