Jacksonville, FL - January 8, 2007 - Phase Technology, the leading manufacturer of high -fidelity speakers for custom home entertainment systems, introduces the latest version of its acclaimed Premier Collection of bookshelf speakers.
The PC Series will initially consist of four models, all in compact sizes. The PC -0.5 will be a 5.25" 2 -way bookshelf speaker, along with its companion center channel model, the PC -33.5 with dual 5.25" drivers. A larger version will be the PC -1.5, a 6.5" 2 -way bookshelf. The final model in the series will be the PC -3.5, a dual 6.5" 3 -way, which can be used as either a center channel or as an LCR.
Initially developed as the first product series in 1981, PC speakers have always contained the hallmarks of Phase Tech's engineering heritage, including soft -dome tweeters and midranges, as well as RPF™ solid -piston woofers to mechanically align all the drivers' propagation points, all originally invented and patented by company founder Bill Hecht. PC speakers have always enjoyed a devoted following among music and movie lovers, and have received many awards and glowing reviews for their smooth and extended highs coupled with deep bass response.
This latest iteration features all -new drivers, with the RPF woofers having a new woven glass facing to increase rigidity and speed, and the dome tweeters and midranges taking advantage of new materials research coming from Phase Tech's dARTS digital theater system project. These new drivers are managed by newly upgraded Absolute Phase™ crossover networks, yielding significantly better overall response than previous models.
To house these remarkable speakers, Phase Tech turns to styling cues from their new dARTS 525 Series and Power FL subwoofers. New PC speakers exhibit gracefully curving side panels and a beveled, angled front panel to reduce internal standing waves, producing cleaner and tighter bass. These beautiful new cabinets will be available in two standard finishes, either natural cherry or gloss piano black. They can also be ordered with custom finishes, so virtually any wood veneer or painted finish can be provided to meet a client's needs.
Ken Hecht, Phase Technology President commented, "In developing this all -new Premier Collection of speakers, we upgraded all performance parameters of our very successful older series. My father and I have produced these collections for over 25 years now! We also worked very hard to bring a fresh new look to the PC Series, along with many of our other speakers, to increase their visual appeal. With the custom finishing options, PC speakers will be at home in any environment, no matter how formal."
The new PC Series speakers will be available in Q2 2007.
The PC Series will be displayed at CES booth 21416 (South Hall Level 1) & demonstrated at the Las Vegas Hilton Central Tower Suite 1250.
