JACKSONVILLE, FL - January 8, 2007 - Phase Technology, the leading manufacturer of high -fidelity speakers for custom home entertainment systems, introduces the FS Series, a free -standing version of their acclaimed dARTS 650 Digital Audio Reference Theater System. Utilizing the DP2000, 16 x 250 watt digital amplifier with comprehensive DSP capabilities, and Phase Tech's customized version of Audyssey Labs' famed MultEQ XT -Pro room measurement and correction software these models have the same features as the already available Custom Built -In (CB) and In -Wall (IW) series introduced at CEDIA 2005. The new models feature beautiful curved and sloping cabinets with standard finishes include high gloss natural cherry and high gloss piano black, both with an aluminum insert framing the drivers. Custom finishes are also available, allowing clients to choose virtually any wood veneer or paint finish, to match their décor.
The dARTS 650 FS Series includes a 6.5" 2 -way main speaker, a 6.5" 3 -way center channel, and a powered subwoofer using a 12" active driver with two 10" bass radiators in a very compact enclosure. Any of the existing dARTS in -wall or on -wall bipole/dipole surround speakers may be included in a FS system, or additional main speakers may be used if a client desires direct radiators for his surround channels.
Phase Technology builds its dARTS drivers to meet an extremely tight tolerance, and then using the DP -2000 amplifier's onboard DSP to adjust each finished system to also be within ±0.5 dB. The available DSP allows Phase Tech's engineers to calibrate frequency response, phase and time alignment, and crossover frequency/slopes to amazingly tight tolerances, yielding perfectly matched systems every time. Of course, once a system is installed in a room, much of that matching is negated by the room's acoustic properties. Audyssey MultEQ XT -Pro software allows a trained installer to measure each room's individual acoustic anomalies and automatically develop correction curves for each individual channel. These correction curves, utilizing FIR filters, are then uploaded to non -volatile EPROM memory in the DP -2000 amplifier, which then biamps or triamps each speaker for an incredible level of control. The result is that the four versions of Phase Tech's and Audyssey's target curves are achievable in nearly any acoustic environment, yielding precise, dependable, repeatable sound throughout any listening area. Several "Best in Show" awards from CEDIA and rave reviews in multiple magazines attest to the success of the marriage between Phase Tech speakers and electronics, and Audyssey's room correction program.
"Phase Technology's new dARTS 650 FS series speakers add a new dimension to our exciting dARTS family. A client can now choose whether he wants in -wall speakers, custom built -in black boxes to go inside a cabinet or behind a perforated screen, or these gorgeous new speakers to be displayed with pride. All With our capabilities to produce custom finishes on the FS series, and custom sizes and shapes in the CB series, Phase Tech can truly offer the remarkable, perfectly matched performance of dARTS to fit any room," said Ken Hecht, president of Phase Technology. "Whatever style is appropriate in a home or business can now be addressed with dARTS technology, just as it does audibly with Audessey MultiEQ."
The dARTS 650 Series is available now in its FS (Free -Standing) and CB (Custom Built -In) versions, with the IW (In -Wall) models appearing in mid -Q1 2007.
The dARTS 650 Series will be displayed at CES booth 21416 (South Hall Level 1) & demonstrated at the Las Vegas Hilton Central Tower Suite 1250.

About Phase Technology
Phase Technology Corporation (toll -free at 888 -PHASE TK; website at www.phasetech.com), part of the MSE Audio Group, is one of the few fully -vertically integrated American speaker manufacturers. The company started as United Speaker Systems in 1955 as an original equipment manufacturer and still designs and produces its own sub -assemblies in -house. Phase Technology's speaker lines incorporate many proprietary
innovations like the soft -dome tweeter, the industry's standard invented by Bill Hecht, founder of Phase Technology. Other patents cover the self -damping woofer voice coil, the manufacturing process for flat -piston midrange drivers and woofers, silicone -injected drivers for resonance damping, and the positive -clamping mounting system for the premier in -wall Model CI -110/II. The company also developed the Unicell™ Zero -Diffraction treatment that reduces acoustic reflections off cabinet and grille surfaces. Phase Technology manufactures its wood cabinets by hand and performs quality control tests at every step of the fabrication process.
Building on five decades of design and engineering innovation in the manufacture of high quality, yet affordable speakers, Phase Technology supports its products with a 10 -year warranty on speakers, while amplifiers are backed by a 3 -year warranty. Phase Technology's digital home theater, audiophile, outdoor, in -wall/in -ceiling custom installation speakers, as well as powered and in -wall subwoofers are constructed at the company's Jacksonville, Florida facility.
