New Residential Builders Program Will Help Builders, System Integrators Increase Revenue
DENVER - Sept. 14, 2006 - At CEDIA Expo 2006, AMX®, a worldwide leader in advanced control system technology, unveiled a new program designed to help residential builders and system integrators increase revenue while making control and automation systems affordable for homeowners. Following successful initial launches in Dallas and Chicago, AMX's Residential Builders Program is already creating new market opportunities for system integrators while providing builders with an easy way to differentiate their properties and increase their profit. With today's announcement, the program is now available to builders nationwide.
"AMX's Residential Builders Program opens the door to a highly lucrative customer base that many system integrators have only pursued on an ad hoc basis," said Scott Norder, AMX's executive vice president of business development. "Yesterday's custom luxury items, like granite countertops and cherry cabinetry, are commonplace today, and builders are desperately searching for new ways to differentiate themselves in the crowded housing market. AMX's Residential Builders Program addresses this need and more - creating a win -win for everyone."
AMX's Residential Builders Program gives semi -custom and speculative home builders the flexibility to work with the system integrator of their choice. Together, the builder and integrator select the AMX control technology that best meets the needs and price point of their market and target demographic. Packages that include Lutron lighting, distributed audio, HVAC and security can be provided for as little as $10,000 installed - including the AMX control system and integration. For large, high -end homes, this has a minimal impact on the overall price per square foot. More elaborate AMX systems that add automation of the pool/spa, sprinklers, security cameras and more can also be selected.
With the Residential Builders Program, AMX system integrators can complete more jobs than ever before. After finalizing the standard technology package with the builder, the AMX control system can be quickly programmed using AMX's VisualArchitect software, the industry's most robust application for building and designing control systems, and installed in multiple homes. With this production model in place, the integrator quickly establishes a strong recurring cash flow because jobs are completed more efficiently. Additionally, system integrators can connect with new homeowners to offer technology upgrades, such as home theaters and advanced home automation, thereby generating even more revenue.
AMX's pre -packaged EXPerience Kits, which include all the equipment needed for a basic whole home system, provide builders and integrators with an easy way to select the equipment for their standard system. When more options are desired, AMX's new Whole Home System Design Library (SDL), also announced today, helps to guide the builder and system integrator through the process of selecting products from AMX's extensive product portfolio.
To qualify for the Residential Builders Program, builders simply commit to installing AMX equipment in a pre -determined number of properties over a 12 -month period. For more information on the program, visit www.amx.com/assets/literature/AMX.Resi.Builder.Program.pdf.
