DENVER, COLORADO, September 14, 2006 - Providing custom residential integrators with dynamic, face -to -face service and support, Middle Atlantic Products today announced it will partner with CEDIA to conduct educational workshops during CEDIA 2006 and also at its headquarters in New Jersey. Drawing on Middle Atlantic Products' more than 25 years of experience, the workshops will provide integrators with hands -on experience in specific areas of the custom residential market as well as specific, real -world tips and tricks that can be used to provide more effective integration projects while saving time and money.
"The custom residential integrator is a key partner that we have manufactured for and with whom we've collaborated with great success, " said Bob Schluter, CEO and Chief Engineer, Middle Atlantic Products. "These training sessions are an invaluable way for us to provide our customers with ideas on how they can improve their services and business. At the same time, these courses afford us an opportunity to interface directly with the people who help make Middle Atlantic Products successful. It's a win -win situation for everyone involved and a great way to support an important organization like CEDIA."
Middle Atlantic Products will host two workshops during CEDIA 2006. The first, titled, "Slide Out Racks Made Simple - Keys to Installing Professional Rack Systems" will give integrators hands -on training with various methods for installing slide out equipment racks and shelving systems, and provide tips and tricks for effective cable and thermal management, preparing millwork, and terminating cable to the rack during in -wall, cabinetry and custom millwork installations.
The second workshop, titled, "Beat the Heat: Keys to Keeping Components, Cabinets and Closets Cool" affords integrators a chance to examine the best practices for keeping components free of excess heat. This session will focus on thermal management and the proper techniques for maintaining healthy temperatures in AV cabinets, equipment racks and closets, especially when working with heat sensitive components such as cable and satellite boxes.
In addition to the courses being offered during CEDIA, Middle Atlantic Products will take part in CEDIA University's "CU on the Road" program by hosting interactive workshops at its headquarters in New Jersey. From October 11th through October 14th, Middle Atlantic Products and the CU on the Road program will collaborate to cover important topics for integrating racks and enclosures in custom residential projects, including home theater design, custom control programming concepts, multi -channel AV layouts, and codes and standards. The sessions also offer integrators the opportunity to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) toward maintaining CEDIA certification.
Middle Atlantic Products will supplement the CU on the Road classes by leading three separate classes that focus on common issues, including: addressing electrical hums and buzzes; best practices for effective thermal management; and hands -on experience with technical aspects of racking, including cable management.
Middle Atlantic Products' CEDIA sessions take place on Friday, September 15 and are located in Mineral Hall F of the Denver Hyatt.
