ELAN Home Systems' Launches and Sells Out New Week -Long, West Coast Dealer Training

Full-Scale Headquarters Training Program Now Offered on West Coast, Providing ELAN Dealers Even Greater Options and Opportunities

LEXINGTON, KY - ELAN Home Systems, announced today that yet another major new training initiative for its Dealers has launched and sold out. The inaugural, week -long, large -scale West coast training event, held in Las Vegas at the Alexis Park Resort and Hotel from July 24th through the 29th, was oversold with 120 Western and Mountain region based participants in attendance. Beginning in 2007, this full -scale training will be held regularly at sister -company Linear's headquarters, located in Carlsbad, CA, which will become the permanent home for ELAN's West Coast Training Program. The announcement was made by Paul Starkey, ELAN's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

The new program has been modeled after ELAN's long -time, successful headquarters training held twice monthly in Lexington and includes ELAN Sales, Technical, and sister -company Sunfire training, and boasts utilization of sixteen fully outfitted racks for hands -on learning and real -world troubleshooting. Three of ELAN's Sales Managers, three Regional Technical Associates, and ELAN's National Training Manager were at the sessions the entire week to work closely with Dealers.

"ELAN's Western and Mountain Regional teams have been providing Dealers with in -field training in the territory for years," stated Mr. Starkey. "We believe it is of utmost importance to maximize the number of training opportunities we can offer, and have recognized a growing need to reach more of our Dealers throughout the country with our Headquarters program. The full -scale training gives our Western -based Dealers the ability to spend more hands -on time with the ELAN team, helping to ensure that they will achieve maximum success with our products and company."

Indicative of the great demand for ongoing West Coast Dealer training opportunities, the launch program sold out by early July, 2006. Enrollment for the event was targeted at 80 trainees for the week, and was oversold with final registration totaling 120. Beginning in the first quarter of 2007, ELAN will utilize the Linear facility for regularly scheduled West Coast training and support programs that will span several days and cover Sales and Technical topics as well as topics related to sister company Sunfire, making the company's unsurpassed industry training activities more accessible to Western Dealers.

"Coming off the heels of our phenomenally successful, first -ever Tech Week held this past May, this new Western program demonstrates ELAN's deep commitment to serving and supporting our Dealers and to continually enhancing our training accessibility." added Cat Fowler, ELAN's VP of Marketing and Technical Services. "Through this new major Western training program, our Lexington Headquarters training, ongoing in -field trainings around the country, and online ELAN University, we hope to give our Dealers as many avenues as possible for in -depth training in order to help facilitate long -term growth and profitability."
.
Regarding the recent training in Las Vegas, Michael Nagy, Founder and Principal of Nagy Home Theater, commented, "I appreciate all the hard work ELAN did to bring -in all of the necessary equipment in order to provide such an in -depth major hands -on training session. Setting up that many racks of equipment represented a massive amount of work and cost. To see a manufacturer go this far above and beyond in providing the very best in training to their Dealers makes a tremendous difference to us in the field."

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
