Pragmatic Commuications Systems has upgraded and allowed an extensive option of 16 ports instead of 4 ports for the PADS Hub.
(Santa Clara, Ca July 12, 2006) Pragmatic Communication Systems, Inc. has released the 16 -port hub in use of their PADS™ product line in order to provide more options and accommodate commercial markets. The PADS™ 16 -port hub can be used in many commercial applications such as department stores, business offices, and museums with the chance of offering quality audio signals throughout their space. Similar to the 4 -port hub, the 16 -port hub still connects on a single CAT 5 cable that reaches up to 300 feet, but it has a direct line input as well which provides the option of eliminating the PTW sending unit that is required in the 4 -port hub. Lead engineer and President of Pragmatic, Prasanna Shah states, "after the launch of the original 4 -port PADS ™ in late 20th century, a lot of installers started using the 4 -port hub for audio distribution in commercial applications. Since PADS ™ is the only solution that works on cat 5 cables up to 300 feet long and is infinitely expandable, it has become an ideal choice for them."
The 16 -port PADS™ hub provides more outputs and benefits in one hub rather than combining many 4 -port hubs together. It provides compact size of only one hub, less wiring for easy installation, lighter in weight, and overall less cost than 4 hubs put together. It also comes with a loop output and is compatible with the 4 -port hub, which makes it infinitely expandable to as many rooms as one may need. The 16 -port hub has the ability to supply power to all 16 rooms with nothing but the best quality audio signals for all to hear and it also shows Pragmatics' commitment to target all consumers in the A/V market. Mr. Shah continues in saying, "there were many requests for a larger hub and finally we settled on a 16 -port version as an optional size for the commercial market. So far, the 16 -port hub is received with great enthusiasm by the dealer. We look forward to serving this market with many new enhancements and additions to the PADS™ product line."
