David Graebener Joins Tom Bohlender-Founded Wisdom Audio as Senior Technical Advisor and Member of Advisory Board
CARSON CITY, Nev., July 24, 2006 - Wisdom Audio (www.wisdomaudio.com), a manufacturer of high -performance planar -hybrid loudspeaker systems since 1996, is proud to announce that David Graebener has joined the company as senior technical advisor and also as a member of the company's advisory board. Graebener co -founded Bohlender -Graebener (BG Corp.) with Wisdom founder and CEO Tom Bohlender in the early 1990s where he held the title of VP/R&D.
"David has been involved with the design and development of transducers and systems for more than 30 years and is an authority on planar -magnetic design," explained Bohlender. "Having David aboard will have invaluable contributions to the future development of Wisdom's next generation planar -magnetic and electro -dynamic transducers by providing systems, design, and manufacturing support. I am very excited to be working with David again."
From the late 1970s through the 80s, Graebener co -founded and was VP/R&D of Seattle -based loudspeaker design and manufacturing company Speakerlab. He was owner of Advanced Transducer Engineering and co -founder of Solution Matrix, where clients included Boeing Commercial Airplane Company, Pacific Car and Foundry, NCT, Onkyo, and Carver/Toshiba. Graebener also worked with American Technology Corporation, Eastern Asia Technology Company, consulted for GCInnovations, and was owner of David Graebener Consulting and partner in Tyee Group. Graebener has been involved in the authoring of several patents granted or pending related to planar magnetic transducer design and is associated with the development of more than 130 electro -acoustic designs.
"Tom [Bohlender] is undertaking a most ambitious task," said Graebener. "Wisdom is uniquely able to identify those areas in high quality audio playback systems that need to change in order to significantly improve their performance, and is able to satisfy those needs by literally inventing and manufacturing new technologies. This is remarkable for any audio company, and even more so for a company the size of Wisdom, which speaks volumes for the team Tom has put together. Having been involved with planar magnetic line source technologies for a variety of applications for many years has been very satisfying for me and being asked to contribute to the activities of this group is an honor. The work ahead is extremely exciting."
