Sound Advance Introduces Innovative FastMount® Speaker Line

Four FastMount® Models Debut with Flexible Mounting System

San Clemente, CA -June 2006 -At InfoComm 2006, Sound Advance will introduce four new indoor/outdoor loudspeakers with an innovative hardware system, called FastMount®, that provides a simple, secure, "no -tools" solution for ultra -efficient installation. Sound Advance is widely known for its range of invisible flat -panel speakers for commercial and residential systems.

The three new surface -mount Sound Advance models are available in paintable white or black cabinets. The FMS530, FMS660, and FMS860 feature 5.25 -inch, 6.5 -inch, and 8 -inch polypropylene woofers, respectively, combined with a 1 -inch polyurethane dome tweeter and sophisticated crossover circuitry that yields accurate, dynamic, foreground -quality sound reproduction. Each model incorporates a built -in 60 -watt (30 -watt in the FMS530), multitap, 70 -volt transformer with power taps at 3dB intervals and an 8 -ohm bypass. All three models feature rugged drivers, cabinet enclosures, and electronics that are carefully engineered for weather resistance, making them eminently suitable for use virtually anywhere: indoors -including kitchens, baths, and spas -and outdoors on patios, pool areas, decks, and more.

Better still, once the FastMount brackets are in place, the Sound Advance installer can put away the tools. FastMount permits snap -in setup in a wide array of situations -vertical, horizontal, pole -mounted, and more -as close as 1 inch to the mounting surface, yet with full, 180 pivotability. The secure, locked -in mount includes a click -stop positioning system for precise speaker angling. What's more, the Sound Advance FMS design accepts input cabling via a concealed, weatherproof, rubber -grommeted rear -panel port, and guides the cable to the front baffle -side of each speaker. There, behind a sealed access panel, weather -protected terminal connections can be made quickly and easily while the speaker is secure in its mounting bracket, eliminating risky, time -consuming, one -handed acrobatics on ladders.

Complementing the FMS surface -mount trio is the new Sound Advance FM1, a fully integrated, full -range, low -protrusion, in -ceiling loudspeaker system ideal for background music and paging. The new design

incorporates a flat -panel, wide -dispersion driver with exceptionally broad coverage and a 16 -watt, multitap,
70 -volt transformer with onboard 8 -ohm bypass. The FM1 features two FastMount brackets: the collapsible -support TBS -FM1 for existing construction, or the NCB -FM1 for new construction. The FM1 is finished in
paintable matte white and is packaged in pairs. For new -construction installations, the FM1N's NCB -FM1 brackets are packaged separately for ship -ahead efficiency. The FM1E, for existing construction, ships with the TBS -FM1 bracket included.
