Mueller and Rogers win LA County Classic

Dominguez Hills, CA -April 14 -16, 2006 -

Specialized/ Sonance riders Michael Mueller and Thurlow Rogers won their respective classes in the Los Angeles County Classic held over the Easter Weekend at different venues in the greater Los Angeles area. This event put on by the California Bicycle Racing organization was an Omnium event where riders earn points in the three events. Mueller won the 50+ category by placing 4th in the Time Trial , 1st in the Road Race and 7th in the Criterium earning enough points to take home the win. Other Sonance/Specialized riders Eugene Poyorena and Fred Hoblit took 5th and 9th respectively in support of Mueller's win.
Thurlow Rogers raced in the 40+ 1,2,3 race and battled Greg Leibert of Big Orange Racing for the win by one point! Rogers won the Time Trial and the Road Race and came in second to Leibert in the Criterium. Dan Vogt rode in support of Rogers and placed 8th.
