New AQUOS models feature industry-leading product performance

LC57D90U - Canada's Most Advanced Large Screen LCD Television
Among the new models unveiled today is the LC57D90U, marking the introduction of the newest large -screen size to the AQUOS line. The 57" model boasts dramatically enhanced features including an incredible 1500:1 true contrast ratio and an unparalleled response time of 4 ms, improving fast -action program viewing such as hockey games or action films.
This true 1080p widescreen model also includes Sharp's new proprietary Five -Wavelength Backlight system that provides deeper reds and more vibrant greens than previously possible. The LC57D90U is available for a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $16,999.
D40U Series - Preparing For the HDTV Revolution:
The new D40U series, available in 26", 32", 37" and 45" widescreen high -definition televisions (HDTV) showcases the best in flat panel performance, sleek design and sophisticated cabinet finishes.
The line also features Sharp's proprietary new Advanced Super View LCD panel providing crisp on -screen images with a sharp contrast ratio of 1200:1. This, combined with a 6ms response time, allows the D40U Series to set a new standard in flat panel technology.
This series also delivers an incredible HDTV programming experience with easy connectivity options for simple HDTV set up, including two HDMI inputs that will allow users to connect the unit to current and future high -definition devices, including set -top boxes and next -generation video game consoles. The stunning picture on the panel mirrors the crisp and clean design of the television and is framed with an elegant piano black finish with a bottom -mounted speaker.
The LC26D40U, LC32D40U, LC37D40U, LC45D40U are now available for a MSRP of $1599, $2299, $3999 and $4599.
First 20" Widescreen AQUOS (LC20D30U):
Bringing new capabilities to smaller screen sizes, Sharp introduces the LC20D30U, the first 20" 16:9 widescreen model in the AQUOS line. Perfect for smaller spaces or the office, the LC20D30U is equipped with true high -definition resolution (1366 x 768) and includes a PC input, allowing the television to also be used as computer monitor.
As with all previous AQUOS models, the LC20D30U uses Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View technology, with Black TFT low reflection coating ensuring clear picture quality regardless of lighting conditions. This model is available for a MSRP of $1099.
