Lance-3000 delivers hard wired, distributed home automation with emphasis on energy conservation, user ergonomics, ease of installation and simple programmability via the Internet.

St.Thomas, Ontario - Spring 2006

Local Area Network Controlled Environment Systems Corporation (L.A.N.c.e. Systems Corporation) announces its entry into the Home Automation systems market with the introduction of its LANce - 3000 home and small commercial building automation system.

Designed with ease of use, expandability, and the home owner in mind, the Lance -3000 system exhibits many advanced and innovative energy savings features previously only available on expensive commercial type automation systems.

Based on the latest in low power consumption microcontrollers and distributed computing advances, this system creates a highly flexible, low -voltage, stable system that manages any power voltage combination from 12v to 240v in either AC or DC allowing for truly universal control.

The LANce - 3000 system can be preconfigured before installation and can be updated remotely from any web browser - - reducing the number of house calls by system integrators. The easy -to -use web interface allows for modifications by the end user, should they wish that level of control.

Standard wiring switching devices are used, making it easy to match any décor and provide a familiar user interface with almost no end user learning curve for normal daily use.

The system is programmed, monitored and upgraded via a standard web browser interface, allowing complete flexibility and control of the system from any Internet compatible device, anywhere in the world.

The Lance -3000 system features integrated Automation, Security, Fire, Irrigation, and HVAC monitoring and control functionality.

When asked why LANce - 3000 isn't a wireless system, Leo Koornneef, P. Eng. , Sr. Vice President of Engineering replied, "We were concerned with RF eavesdropping and reliability due to interference. Many systems are becoming wireless, but we've discovered that the requirement isn't driven by the customer, it's that most wired installation is either too complex or too inflexible. The LANce - 3000 system addresses these issues with a simple 4 wire harness and software node assignment."

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
