NetStreams Introduces Panorama Video Distribution System

First Video Distribution System Delivers Up to Four HDTV Video Sources to Multiple Displays

AUSTIN, TX - February 28, 2006 - NetStreams®, the global leader in networked entertainment systems based on Internet protocol (IP) technology, has introduced Panorama™, its first video distribution system capable of switching and sending composite, S -Video, or component video signals, including 1080i HDTV, over standard CAT5 wiring.

Based on NetStreams new video matrix switcher (Model PAN6400), the new Panorama distributes up to four separate video sources to six video displays and, with the inclusion of Cable Length Compensation (CLC) cards, offers no loss or video signal degradation from source to monitor - even at distances up to 1000 feet. Expandable to allow video distribution to an unlimited number of displays or zones, the Panorama system is designed for residential and commercial use, such as restaurants, clubs, and offices.

The slim, rack -mountable Panorama works with the company's existing Musica™ and DigiLinX™ multi -room entertainment systems. Providing a level of flexibility not found in other video switchers, a single Panorama could be used as a stand -alone video distribution. Or, multiple Panoramas can be combined to distribute HDTV quality video and digital audio (S/SPDIF) to multiple home theaters, in addition to supporting line level security video for TVs that have picture -in -picture mode. The Panorama can be controlled via any IR control system or through a web browser.

Available now for Musica multi -room audio and video control and switching integration, Cardenas said that NetStreams would offer software drivers for NetStreams' advanced, IP -Based DigiLinX all -digital networked entertainment system by the second quarter.

"Panorama creates significant new opportunities for our residential and commercial dealers and allows them to offer customers a complete, single -brand A/V distribution system," said Cardenas.

However, according to Cardenas, NetStreams did not create a closed system in which other products could not be added. "We've also incorporated a combination of IR inputs and outputs and RS -232 ports to allow Panorama to easily integrate with any 3rd -party control system.

The Panorama video matrix switcher is equipped with four sets of composite, S -video, and component inputs. Outputs to all six zones are RJ45 jacks for CAT5 wire connections. Distribution lines, carrying line -level signals, are terminated in each zone using a NetStreams Panorama wall plate which provides composite, S -video, and component jacks for connection to a TV, monitor or other video display.
