The leader in electrical construction estimating systems rolls out a new 'ABS' line -- useful for those doing home systems installation.
With 27 years of electrical construction estimating experience under its belt, McCormick Systems has introduced its ABS line of software. The company created the ABS products to help contractors who need to do fast, accurate estimates of any of the many jobs involved in automated building systems work.
"We've exhibited at BICSI conferences for many years," says Todd McCormick, the company president. "And we've talked to our electrical contractor customers who do this type of work.
"We've come to understand the needs of datacom contractors, security dealers, home systems installers, and many other installers of what used to be called 'low -voltage' building systems.
"We've learned about their needs. Our new estimating software, with a specialized database, will make it easier for contractors doing ABS work - whether they are specialists or electrical contractors performing specialized tasks on a given project."
McCormick offers ABS 3000, ABS 6000, ABS 8000, and ABS 12000 software. The alternatives include the lowest -cost, simplest version of the software (ABS3000) through to our networkable, multi -user version which enables several estimators to work simultaneously on a given estimate with perfect coordination (ABS12000).
"In our research, we were surprised to find that many ABS contractors use spreadsheets, and even paper, to do their estimates," McCormick notes. "Our software isn't hard to learn and offers flexibility and capabilities that estimators who are using paper - or even spreadsheets - can't imagine."
