Media Dynamics Training Approved for CEDIA CEU Credits

Media Dynamics, the industry dedicated training school for custom installers in North America has been awarded CEU granting status by the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA).

Thornhill, Ontario, Nov 2005: Media Dynamics, the industry dedicated training school for custom installers in North America has been awarded CEU granting status by the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA). Students of the intensive hands -on apprenticeship style program will receive continuing education units (CEU's) toward their next level of CEDIA certification upon completion. The 3 week, four -phase program is designed to produce a competent entry level pre -wire and basic trim -out installation technician, and in addition, eligible graduates have the option to complete the CEDIA Installer 1 exam at the conclusion of the program.

The company joins the ranks of CEU training providers at the top of the award range along with AMX and Panasonic, which offer the only other training programs to grant 10 CE units. "We are thrilled to be able to provide one -third of the CEU requirements for installers working toward higher CEDIA certifications" commented Derek Lee, President of parent company Mobile Dynamics Corporation. "Not only do our grads leave with a CEDIA Level 1 skill set, but are also well on their way to achieving Level 2."

Media Dynamics plans to launch its next training program, which will build on the existing skills of field technicians possessing one year of work experience to prepare them for the CEDIA Level 2 certification. Its current mandate for the CEU approved program is to "deliver trained new recruits to the industry with an accelerated employer payback potential". Over the past 4 years of operation, the company's instructional staff has regularly updated its curriculum to be as industry current as possible. Graduates have been in high demand due to the extremely focused retail and custom electronics nature of the training. Courses run monthly, and graduates are placed early into the school's "Career Assistance" program to be paired with employers seeking staff. As a result, grads are typically employed within 30 days of graduation.

Media Dynamics is the residential systems training division of Mobile Dynamics, the independent Nationally Accredited Private Career College for consumer electronics established in 1990 in Toronto. Its mission is to provide training and support services to the consumer electronics industry, emphasizing mobile electronics, custom home installation and sales training, and retail support services.
