Sunfire Launches New Series of Theater Grand Power Amplifiers Ideal for Home Theaters

Models TGA-7400, TGA-7200, TGA-5400, TGA-5200 Deliver Power, Stylish New Front Panels, and Acclaimed Tracking Downconverter™ Technology

CES '06, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2006 - Sunfire Corp., a specialist in the design, manufacture and marketing of high -end audio/video components, home theater solutions, and subwoofers for the custom installation and custom retail markets, introduces a series of powerful new Theater Grand Amplifiers at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show.

Designed for demanding listeners, the new Theater Grand Amplifiers - Models TGA -7400, TGA -7200, TGA -5400 and TGA -5200 - are ideal for use in multichannel Home Theater systems. They produce a warm, engaging soundstage that smoothly and dynamically reproduces both movie soundtracks and music. They also all feature Sunfire's exclusive Tracking Downconverter™ technology, and a cleaner, more contemporary -looking front panel (as does Sunfire's new Theater Grand Processor -5).

The Tracking Downconverter provides high -current power to speakers through a unique "just -in -time" approach that generates virtually no heat. This eliminates the need for either a fan or massive heat sinks, and makes it possible to design the amplifiers as relatively compact yet extremely powerful components, suitable even for speakers using massive drivers.
Highlights of the new front panel include a new power switch and LED. The Theater Grands also introduce a new numbering protocol, in which the first digit of the model number indicates the channels served, and the remaining digits indicate the power. Thus, the TGA -7400 is a 7 -channel amplifier with 400 watts of power. In these and other aspects, the Theater Grand Amplifiers update and replace similar models from Sunfire's Cinema Grand Signature series.

The flagship Theater Grand TGA -7400 boasts 400 watts RMS for each of seven channels driven into eight ohms, and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz with 0.5 percent THD. With dynamic range to spare, powerful bass and breathtaking clarity, it has enough headroom for the most demanding Home Theater systems, while running remarkably cool thanks to the Tracking Downconverter technology.

The TGA -7400 generates 800 watts RMS per channel into four ohms, and 1600 watts RMS per channel into two ohms. Additional features include both current -source and voltage source output options for the main left and right channels, a signal -present auto -on switch, a 12 -volt DC trigger input, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, and high -quality gold -plated, five -way binding posts

The Theater Grand TGA -7200 delivers 200 watts RMS for each of seven channels driven into eight ohms, and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz with 0.5 percent THD. Compact yet powerful, it's ideal for small to medium 7.1 -format Home Theaters, and uses Tracking Downconverter technology to run cool while tightly controlling connected speakers.

The TGA -7200 generates 400 watts RMS per channel into four ohms, and 800 watts RMS per channel into two ohms. Additional features include current -source and voltage -source outputs for the main left and right channels, a signal -present auto -on switch, a 12 -volt DC trigger input, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, and high -quality five -way binding posts.

The Theater Grand TGA -5400 generates 400Watts RMS for each of five channels driven into eight ohms, and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz with 0.5 percent THD. The Tracking Downconverter technology, designed to constantly track the audio waveform, assures the TGA -5400 runs cool by dramatically reducing the amount of wasted power, which is typically converted into heat. The TGA -5400 produces 800 watts RMS per channel into four ohms, and 1600 watts RMS per channel into two ohms. Additional features include current -source and voltage -source outputs for the main left and right channels, a signal -present auto -on switch, a 12 -volt DC trigger input, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, and high -quality gold -plated, five -way binding posts.

The Theater Grand TGA -5200 produces 200Watts RMS for each of five channels driven into eight ohms, and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz with 0.5 percent THD. A multi -channel theater amplifier competitive with the best two -channel audio amplifiers, it has a warm, refined presence that can bring nearly any speaker to its full musical potential. As with Sunfire's other new amplifiers, Tracking Downconverter technology keeps it running cool.

The TGA -5200 generates 400 watts RMS per channel into four ohms, and 800 watts RMS per channel into two ohms. Additional features include current -source and voltage -source outputs for the main left and right channels, a signal - present auto -on switch, a 12 -volt DC trigger input, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, and high -quality five -way binding posts.

The Theater Grand Amplifiers, with a black finish, will be available in First Quarter 2006 from authorized Sunfire dealers at suggested prices to be announced. The flagship TGA -7400 can be seen with Sunfire's other outstanding products in the Sunfire penthouse suite on Floor D of the Mirage Hotel during the show.
