Leviton's new California Title 24-compliant Decora® Occupancy Sensor offers homeowners a convenient, economical way to ensure lighting is switched OFF when it's not needed, allowing them to reduce energy consumption and save on their electric bills.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Leviton's new California Title 24 -compliant Decora® Manual -ON Occupancy Sensor offers homeowners a convenient, economical way to ensure lighting is switched OFF when it's not needed, allowing them to reduce energy consumption and save on their electric bills. The new Sensor is actuated like a regular manual wall switch. Once operational, it monitors a room or area and automatically switches lights OFF after it senses the room is no longer occupied. The Decora Sensor is ideal for bathrooms, hallways, garages, basements, dining rooms, utility rooms or any area of the home where residents may forget to switch lights OFF.
Installed in place of a single -pole wall switch, the Decora Sensor fits in a standard wall box and is gangable with other Decora devices. The Sensor's low -profile design and distinctive styling complement any interior by avoiding an obtrusive 'scanning -device' appearance. It uses passive infrared technology to sense occupancy within its user -adjustable field of view, from 32° to a full 180°. A segmented fresnel lens provides optimum sensitivity and performance with an extensive 'small motion' area where even slight body movements can be detected. A LED indicator blinks each time the unit detects activity in its sensing zones. To maximize energy savings, the Sensor features an optional manual adjustment for delayed -OFF time settings of 30 seconds, 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes.
The Decora Sensor is capable of switching incandescent, fluorescent and low -voltage lighting with electronic or magnetic ballasts. The Decora Sensor is UL Listed, CSA Certified and compliant with California Title 24 Energy Code and FCC regulations.
