Smarthome CEO will Keynote at ConstrucTech Expo

Kicks Off "Smart Home of The Future" Multi -City Tour

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 23, 2005 - SmarthomeTM, the world's leading authority in electronic home improvement and automation, today announced that CEO Joe Dada will be the keynote speaker at ConstrucTech Expo 2005, to be held Dec. 1 -3 in Austin, Texas, at the Austin Convention Center.

Dada will discuss the new electronic home improvement and automation technologies available to homeowners including INSTEON, Smarthome's new home control technology, a dual -mode (powerline and radio frequency) mesh networking technology. Dada will review how these new technologies link together core home systems such as lighting, security, comfort control, consumer electronics, appliances and safety sensors for remote monitoring and control. Presentations will be at the ConstrucTech Expo show in the Austin convention center Thursday Dec. 1, at 11:00 am and again at 3:00 pm and Friday Dec. 2, at 10:00 am (other Smarthome spokespersons will be speaking On Friday Dec. 2, 4:00 pm and Saturday Dec. 3, at 1:00 PM). All presentations will take place at the convention center's Technology Theater Stage 1.

Smarthome is also sponsoring the "Smart Home of the Future," a 2,000 -square -foot six -room home being constructed on the show floor. The display will showcase the most innovative high -tech products for the home and office, including Smarthome's INSTEON home control technology and many home automation products found on the retail outlet and the renowned Smarthome catalog. During the industry professionals/media day on Thursday, Dec. 1, executives from Smarthome will be guiding tours and on hand to answer questions regarding the various installations.

ConstrucTech Expo 2005 is the first event at which the "Smart Home of the Future" will be displayed; it will be on view in various cities (Austin, Phoenix, Seattle, New York and Las Vegas) over the next year at similar types of events geared toward electronic home improvement professionals such as architects, designers, builders, developers, installers and home owners interested in the latest trends in home control and automation technology for the home.
