"Reaching out to individual communities in support of grassroots initiatives that provide mentoring and support for upcoming film artists is a great undertaking," said Bob Hana, president of Runco International. "When Ron Kinnear of Thirsty Ear Hi -Fi contacted us for our involvement, we were only too happy to support his and HatcHFest's request."

The Hatch Audiovisual Arts Festival brings together artists, actors, directors, producers and other industry professionals in a partnership with emerging artists in the name of "mentorship" through a series of workshops, screenings, panel discussions and one -on -one peer groups.

The new Video Xtreme™ Projection System represents Runco's ultimate achievement in video projection design and performance. It has been crafted for the finest home theater applications and true connoisseurs of big -screen picture perfection. With Runco's three -chip implementation of DLP, no color wheel is used, reducing mechanical complexity and compromises to color spectrum purity.

"It was critical to us that, if we were to be involved in the film festival aspects of HatcHFest, we would have to provide a theatrical performance second to none," said Ron Kinnear. "Runco's Video Xtreme™ series of digital projectors is the best we could offer to bring that unique cinematic feeling to the audience. Runco's reputation for 'Bringing Hollywood Home' is well earned, and the folks attending the festival are going to see why they're the leaders in home cinema."

Video Xtreme's™ newly designed Xenon illumination system uses a 1.2 kW lamp to produce Runco's brightest pictures ever. Its new Darkchip 2 array is calibrated for 788p resolution with an anamorphic lens option that brings resolution all the way up to a native 1400 x 1050 for stunning high -definition performance.
