The company, which manufactures high -definition projectors, flat -panel displays, and video processors, was given Custom Retailer's Excite Award for the Vision Model 80 Projection System at the CEDIA EXPO 2005. Vidikron also demonstrated its latest imaging technology and new additions to its broad product line. Jim McGall, vice president of sales & marketing for Vidikron, says the Excite Award is but another indicator of the company's explosive growth. "The Vision™ Model 80 System is being selected by an increasing number of seasoned theater enthusiasts who demand the absolute, most detailed picture available. The Model 80 delivers the highest home theater resolution at 1080p, with high light output for a beautiful picture on numerous screen sizes and types. Our new products are the result of direct response to our installing dealers' needs for powerful performance in a well -balanced product line. We're honored that the Vision 80 was chosen by Custom Retailer as one of the year's most impressive solutions for home theater enthusiasts."

At the Vidikron Lounge, the company's demonstration theater on the Expo floor, Vidikron showed the Vision Model 100 with the award -winning CineWide with AutoScope. The technology, which garnered three major awards at CEDIA, had audiences eagerly lining up to see it in action.

The exclusive technology displays ultra -wide movie formats, such as CinemaScope® in their native 2.35:1 aspect ratios, with constant screen height, no black bars, and stunning widescreen image quality. No other technology allows a projector to use its full pixel array and maximum light output and resolution when displaying Hollywood's most epic films. Exclusive to Vidikron and its parent Runco International, the remarkable CineWide with AutoScope technology was honored with the CEDIA Electronic Lifestyle award for Best New Product, Residential Systems' RESI award, and Electronic House's Product of the Year.

Vidikron also introduced the Model 90 DLP™ in its Vision series, which shares much of the advanced imaging capabilities built into the Model 100, while being specifically engineered for optimum performance in dedicated home theater environments. With a three -chip DLP™ light engine, integrated Imagix™ processing, and an MSRP of $19,995.00, no other projector offers the Model 90's uncompromising image quality at its value.

The Vision Model 30 & 50 also made their debuts, demonstrating Vidikron's achievement of high -performance beyond simply high -definition. Each projector features 1280 x 720 resolution, exclusive Imagix™ processing, and tremendous installation flexibility within a quality chassis typically found in higher end models. Both feature the DVSI™ DualV Stage Illumination, which optimizes brightness and contrast ratios in any room. The Model 30 has an MSRP of $6,995.00, and the Model 50 retails at $9,995.00.

Vidikron's trademark styling and uncompromised performance also reached first -time home theater enthusiasts in the Vision Model 10 and Model 12. The Model 10 incorporates a 1024 x 576 DLP™ engine, while the Model 12 uses a 1280 x 768 DLP™ pixel array. Both include integrated Imagix™ processing as well as generous horizontal and vertical lens shift for installation where audiences require precise imaging on screens up to 10 feet wide. The Model 10 is priced at $3,495, and the Model 12 retails for $4,995.

The VDP -80 Digital Video Controller/Processor is one of the reasons the award -winning Model 80 System is so highly regarded by experts, and now Vidikron installers can combine it with a number of projectors and flat -panel displays throughout the line.

The VDP -80 enables integration of multiple sources into a home theater, and its Imagix™ processing transforms video signals from 480i to 1080i to stunning high -resolution. The VDP -80 is also rack -mountable, allowing installation with other home theater components, and minimizing the cable connections to the projector or flat panel display.
