FAIRFIELD, NJ - Fujitsu General America, Inc., the leader in plasma display technology, today announced a comprehensive three -year warranty program for its newly released premier line of Plasmavision® 50 -series digital cable -ready (DCR) HDTV plasma televisions, including the P42XTA51US 42 -inch plasma HDTV (MSRP: $5,999) and P50XTA50US 50 -inch plasma HDTV (MSRP: $7,999). Fujitsu's advanced 50 -series lineup marks the company's debut into the integrated plasma HDTV marketplace; both new models feature QAM tuners, CableCARD slots, and external, side -mounted speakers. The warranty for Fujitsu's 50 -series Plasmavision TVs is the most comprehensive available from any flat panel display manufacturer, and includes full three -year coverage on parts, labor and PDP glass.

All Plasmavision 50 -series models will feature Fujitsu's acclaimed digital video processor, Advanced Video Movement -II (AVM -II), which is two and a half generations ahead of the competition. The AVM -II processor virtually eliminates motion artifacts and flicker, improves vertical resolution, and reproduces natural movement with ease. Furthermore, AVM -II processes digital content from any signal in the most optimal way.
