Industry's Only True IP-Based Multi-Room Audio System Offers IP Control Of Third Party Products in Lighting, HVAC, and Communications

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - September 9, 2005 - - Expanding into the market for home and building automation, NetStreams®, the global leader in networked entertainment systems based on Internet Protocol (IP) technology, has introduced the ControLinX™ CL100, its first building automation interface for NetStreams' DigiLinX™ IP -Based Multi -Room Audio and Control system. ControLinX enables programmable control over Lutron® lighting system, Aprilaire® heating and cooling systems, and interfaces with doorbell and telephone muting systems, as well as one -way RS -232 control of other devices from a variety of manufacturers.

"This product creates significant new opportunities by opening additional markets that were not previously available, allowing us to compete more effectively with the best known brands in the business," said Herman Cardenas, founder and CEO of NetStreams. "The introduction of ControLinX broadens the application of IP -based systems for a wide range of residential or commercial building and installations."

ControLinX CL100, like all NetStreams DigiLinX products, is easy to install and small enough to be hidden away inside a rack or mounted on a wall next to a distribution panel (bracket included). The CL100 has a 2 -pin Phoenix connector for power, an Ethernet connector to connect to a DigiLinX network, as well as an RS -232 and RCA jacks. One CL100 is required to control each subsystem. The NetStreams DigiLinX dealer setup program easily guides the dealer through configuring the system.

The CL100 features standard drivers for Lutron's RadioRA® lighting system, and can control up to 16 lighting scenes (per Lutron Chronos™ System Bridge and Timeclock) and can be controlled from a TouchLinX™, a wireless web tablet, PDA, or Personal Computer.

For HVAC control, the CL 100 supports Aprilaire® automated heating and cooling systems via a TouchLinX keypad. Additionally the ControLinX can also manage additional Aprilaire outdoor temperature and humidity sensors (8061 or 8062), allowing the DigiLinX system display outdoor temperature and humidity.

ControLinX can be programmed to automatically mute music, for 10, 15 or 30 seconds, when the doorbell or phone rings.

In addition to the listed manufacturers, NetStreams continues to work on drivers for additional brands of lighting, HVAC, security and other products. These will be available in future firmware upgrades said Cardenas. Additionally, dealers can utilize the ControLinX CL100 for one -way RS -232 control of any RS -232 controlled product.

"We are now in a position to provide easy interface with some of the most preferred brands of lighting and home automation systems," said Petro Shimonishi, vice president of marketing for NetStreams. "Our open standard system provides the same control as any of the propriety systems with less programming effort required."

The new ControLinX CL100 began shipping in August.
