ALGOLITH ANNOUNCES FLEA, A MINIATURE DIGITAL VIDEO ENHANCER FOR HI -DEFINITION TELEVISION CONSUMERS
Montreal, Canada - September 6, 2005 - Algolith, is proud to announce the release of their miniature digital video enhancer, Flea. Aimed squarely at the consumer who has invested in a new Hi -Def Television, Flea addresses the now visually apparent phenomenon of noise and artifacts introduced by compressed digital sources such as DVD's, Satellite, Cable, and PVR's.
"With the advent of High Definition TV, consumers are quickly becoming aware of how fantastic a picture quality they can get. Flea allows a consumer to view analogue signals and compressed video signals with enhanced quality on their new Hi -Definition televisions. Flea reduces random noise apparent along edges of compressed images, reduces bad reception and low light noises, and virtually eliminates block artifacts associated with fast moving images," notes Christian Tremblay, President of Algolith.
The result of many years of research and development, Flea is able to achieve these significant enhancements using highly advanced mathematical formulae. Incorporating second generation 3D -MNR Mosquito Noise Reduction, 3D -DNR Gaussian Noise Reduction, Block Artifact Reduction (BAR) and Detail Enhancement, Flea is designed to reduce noise, blend and diminish inherent 8 x 8 pixel block structures, eliminate bad reception/low light noise, and image enhance.
Flea is a set and forget Video Enhancer featuring analogue component and S -Video I/O capability, S -Video to analogue component conversion, and automatic interlaced/progressive and SD/HD input signal detection.
