New Regional Manager Hired to Lead Sales Strategy in Eastern United States

MARLBORO, NJ - AUGUST 29, 2005 - KEF America today announced that it has hired Paul S. LaPlaca as its newest regional sales manager. He will head sales efforts within the eastern United States for KEF America, a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK -based manufacturer of quality audiophile speakers and stylish home theater systems.

An industry veteran with over 24 years of experience, LaPlaca joins KEF after serving as regional manager for four years at Marantz America Incorporated. Prior to working at Marantz, LaPlaca worked in various divisions of Harman Consumer Group, starting as account executive in 1994 and acting as director of sales for Infinity Systems until his departure in 2001.

His responsibilities at KEF America will include developing sales and incentives programs in the eastern territory, and coordinating training programs that support increased sales of KEF's award -winning products throughout the region.
