Runco's "Stars of Home Theater" Debut at CEDIA EXPO 2005

UNION CITY, CALIFORNIA - August 8, 2005 - Runco International, the world leader in high -end home cinema video display technology, is lining up an impressive selection of projectors for the CEDIA EXPO 2005 home electronics show in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 9 -12. Booth # 124 in the Main Hall of the Indianapolis Convention Center will greet attendees with some of Runco's newest innovations in projection systems, flat -panel displays, and image processing. In addition to announcing this year's top -secret innovations, EXPO attendees will have access to the award -winning CineWide™ with AutoScope™ technology. Rounding out the selection will be the Video Xtreme™ and Reflection Series™ of high -definition DLP™ projectors; as well the entirely new line of Crystal Series™ LCD Flat Panel Displays.

"CEDIA EXPO is a great venue to showcase all of our breakthrough innovations," said Bob Hana, president of Runco International, Inc. "The show attracts a fine collection of custom installation specialists, which gives us the opportunity to present our latest technologies. With this year's theme, 'Stars of Home Theater,' we're going to show theater enthusiasts and designers a new level of appeal and authenticity of viewing experience. Runco prides itself in continually being a forerunner in the high -end home theater market, and our technology portfolio at CEDIA will show the height of our innovation."

Through its pairing of exclusive processing and hand -crafted lens optics, CineWide™ with AutoScope™ allows each equipped projector to take advantage of every pixel on its DMD chips, thereby producing a 2.35:1 image with enhanced resolution and increased brightness. Incoming video signals are first anamorphically "squeezed" to engage the full pixel array, then "stretched" by the projector's custom lens to appear in the proper shape on screen.

CineWide™ eliminates black stripes on the top and bottom of the screen while preserving every single line of resolution available from the display's chips, and the motorized AutoScope™ lens assembly allows viewers to switch to the new, extra -wide viewing mode with a single button -push.

Runco International will also continue its reputation for "Bringing Hollywood Home" by presenting the latest models in the Reflection™ Series, the CL -610/610LT and CL -810. These new projectors produce dazzling, big -screen pictures with high -definition clarity at an incredible value. Runco built the new CL -610/610LT and CL -810 to introduce its signature luxury home cinema experience to a growing audience of home theater enthusiasts. Runco started with its own SuperOnyx™ technology, which uses cutting -edge Digital Light Processing (DLP™) technology, and added the new Selectable Lamp Intensity Control (SLIC™) to generate a vibrant and color -saturated picture in widely varied viewing and lighting conditions.

Runco will be granting an exclusive look at the latest trendsetters in the world of high definition imaging at its special press event scheduled for Friday September 9, from 4:00 - 5:00 pm, in Sagamore Ballroom #6 at the Indianapolis Convention Center.
