California Alarm Association Expands Endorsement of Electronic House Expo EHX Fall 2005 & 2006 to feature new CAA Electronic Security Pavilion, IP-enabled security workshop, and on-floor reception by leading state alarm association
Framingham, MA - July 28, 2005 - EH Events & Education announced today that it has finalized an endorsement agreement for its Electronic House Expo (EHX) Fall 2005 and 2006 events with the California Alarm Association (CAA). CAA will sponsor a new Electronic Security Pavilion at EHX Fall starting with the 2005 show in Anaheim, Nov. 9 11, offer a = -day workshop on IP -enabled security in conjunction with the show and host an on -floor member reception. Additionally, the CAA executive committee and other committees are likely to meet at EHX Fall.
CAA is increasing its participation due to the growing interest in electronic security products of EHX attendees. EHX Fall 2004 research shows strong percentages of the EHX attendee audience purchasing security. Specifically:
* 64% of EHX attendees purchase CCTV
* 52% purchase burglar and fire alarm controls
* 51% purchase access control
* 50% purchase intrusion sensors
* 49% purchase fire/smoke detectors
* 45% purchase telephone -based access control for multi -family applications
* 42% purchase gate operators and perimeter protection
EHX attendees are also increasingly active in non -residential markets, with 42% serving the light commercial new construction market and 39% serving the light commercial retrofit market. Better than half of all attendees do some form of light commercial work.
The CAA's endorsement expansion also reflects the growing interest in product line diversification among security dealers. Whether its structured wiring, multi -room audio, home and building automation, home theater or commercial A/V, security dealers are looking at logical add -on businesses, and EHX offers them resources to research and act on these concepts and plans.
"With 8,500+ attendees projected and documented strong purchasing authority for security products among them, EHX Fall represents a great opportunity for CAA Associate members and other security vendors to tap into a dynamic market," stated Jon Sargent, president of the California Alarm Association. "The CAA Electronic Security Pavilion offers an impressive and cost -effective way for security companies to exhibit and meet not only with tradition security dealers, but new entrants to security from the broader systems integration market."
"The CAA is simply one of the top state alarm associations, excellently led, excellently run, and we are thrilled to be expanding their participation in EHX Fall," said John Galante, vice president of EH Events & Education. "Working together on the pavilion, education, promotion and fun stuff, we are going to pump up the volume of security suppliers on the show floor and security dealers walking the aisles. We are also going to work hard to make sure all our California attendees understand the value of CAA as an educational resource and as a government relations entity fighting for the interests of systems installing companies at the state and local level."
