Attendance and Dealer Registration Up 20% Over Last Year's Summit
LEXINGTON, KY - - ELAN™ Home Systems announced today that the company's TRIO 2005 Summit was a resounding success. The Summit, held May 19 - 22, 2005, at the Marriott Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, Kentucky, saw an impressive 20% increase in Dealer and VIP Sponsor attendance over it's inaugural staging last year.
In addition to the record -breaking attendance and ultra -high level of interest, ELAN completely filled the Griffin Gate Resort with ELAN Dealers who participated in nearly 30 different courses spanning 3 major tracks, offered during the two primary training days. ELAN also unveiled and demonstrated three major new products, and showed multiple other products currently under development.
ELAN Installers, Dealers, Instructors and VIP Sponsors from all over the country were impressed with the breadth and depth of the Summit. Post TRIO letters and survey comments have been universally united and positive. Susan Rance, Operations Manager for Sound Developments Ltd. in Canada noted, "This was without a doubt the best business conference I have attended. TRIO sessions were well planned and ran as scheduled. Others could take a lesson from the caliber and diversity of the courses you offered. We came home energized and ready to utilize all the new information we learned."

The opening keynote, Chuck Martin, attracted nearly every attendee while he provided insight into areas of vision, growth and action for ELAN Dealers. Chuck had polled ELAN Dealer attendees prior to the Summit in order to create an extremely powerful and relevant presentation for the group. Giovanni Livera, gave Saturday morning's motivational Keynote presentations that communicated the Summit's "Turn it Up" theme - - placing special emphasis on the key "chimes of life", and ways to create a well -balanced life to become even more productive, happy and fulfilled.
The ELAN TRIO 2005 Summit was an exclusive, invitation only event attended by more than 450 of ELAN's top Dealers, VIA!® Integration Partners (VIPs), and Independent Sales Reps from around the world. TRIO's success stems from the deep and diverse variety of courses offered addressing the needs of the three key areas within a specialty Dealer's company; business, sales and technical. This year's curriculum included sessions on hiring top talent, the top ten threats to Dealer's businesses, product input, negotiation courses, and more. This year's event also included more courses for ELAN Dealers to choose from, as well as a greater number of interactive panel discussions featuring ELAN Dealers, and open forum courses.
In addition, TRIO's VIP Sponsors; Lutron, Vantage, Middle Atlantic, GE Security and Omnimount, had representatives in attendance who were available to all ELAN Dealers throughout the Summit. Draper and Marantz also supported the event.
Another aspect that attributed to the success of TRIO was ELAN's unveiling of its new members of the VIA! family. Making their private industry debut at the Summit were the VIA!Valet6.4, a 6.4 -inch under -cabinet color LCD Touch Panel, and the VIA!®dvdj, the DVD management system. The VIA!Valet6.4 will be available at an MSRP of $1,999.00, while the VIA!dvdj will be available at an MSRP of $2,650.00. Both products will begin shipping in the 3rd quarter of 2005.
As an added bonus, ELAN has seen significant increases in its other industry -unique Dealer programs. ELAN REWARDS, a Dealer incentive program, has had a 50% increase in participation. In the first three weeks since TRIO alone, new contracts entered have more than tripled. Over 100 people have registered or re -registered for the new ELAN University (ELAN U) school year, and Sales are up 25% for the month to date as compared to the previous month.
