Ft. Lauderdale, FL - May 11, 2005 - The Dealer To Builder (D2B) program is taking on a definitive Western look this spring, as AVAD LLC, America's leading distributor of custom electronic home systems is planning a formidable showing at the TecHome Builder Conference & Expo (TBX 2005) in Phoenix, Arizona, May 18 -20, 2005. In addition to a strong show presence at booth #309 in the Phoenix Civic Center, AVAD will also host various intensive training courses aimed at educating builders on the importance of incorporating today's technologies in new home starts.
"A show such as TBX is an excellent venue for us to expand our Dealer to Builder message," said Joe Piccirilli, managing director of AVAD, LLC. "As demand for home technology augmented with the advent of flat TV, AVAD has been a strong advocate in educating builders on the benefits of incorporating these technologies into their new homes and in turn increase their bottom lines."
The D2B program will once again take center state at the AVAD booth. In addition to colorful two -dimensional displays which detail each professional discipline of the program, the booth will also feature a home entertainment center with a state -of -the -art Samsung flat screen monitor and a powerful Polk Audio surround sound system. Visitors to the AVAD booth (#309) will be able to meet with various AVAD program managers and learn more about the first program designed to help them understand and offer home technology.
Joe Piccirilli, Managing Director of AVAD alongside Coleen Sterns, President of Marketing Matters will teach a "Delivering Technology to Home Owners" training course. This seminar will run on May 20th from 10:30am to 12:00pm, and will educate builders on how to provide buyers with in -demand entertainment and convenience technologies, such as home theater, whole -house audio, custom lighting, and central vacuum. Builders will learn how to market home entertainment and convenience technologies, how to establish a new and highly viable revenue stream through packaged system installations, how to find reliable electronic systems contractors to install these systems in conjunction with their current business practices, and how to effectively differentiate their firms from competition by offering these services.
The explosion of homebuyer demand for built -in electronics of all sorts is placing new requirements for the structural design and finish of new homes. Keith Davis, AVAD's Dealer to Builder Manager, will chair the "TecHome Design & Construction Boot Camp" scheduled for May 20th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Sam Cavitt, owner of Media Environment Designs, a design & engineering consulting firm, will present alongside Davis. Together they will address how to design and build homes with technology in mind. It`s not brain surgery; it just takes some simple pre -planning and consideration. Builders will learn how to tame home technology, and will get expert installation advice on all the latest trends.
