CES 2005, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2005 - Meda™ Systems, Inc., an innovative technology company whose digital media servers and software distribute entertainment throughout the home, introduces an optional new accessory remote from Universal Remote Control, Inc. for Meda's award -winning Brávo™ music servers at the Electronic House Expo, beginning here today.

The new Universal MX -850 Infrared (IR) Remote comes pre -programmed by Meda with Brávo IR codes for 10 zones, and a custom -written guide for using the remote with Brávo music servers. Universal Remote Control is a world leader in the custom design, engineering, manufacture and distribution of high -quality remote controls, home automation products and handheld devices. It supplies millions of remote controls each year to consumers around the world through retail, custom professional, broadcast subscription and OEM channels of distribution.

The MX -850 is based on Universal's popular and award -winning Home Theater Master® series of remotes, and broadly extends the remote control options, convenience and capabilities for Brávo servers. It includes a bright LCD screen, individually backlit buttons and an easy -to -use ergonomic design. It can control numerous individual audio/video products in addition to the Brávo, and also operate equipment placed throughout the house via radio frequencies (RF) using a small Universal base station at each location. A smart memory back -up system retains the remote's programmed memory for years, even with dead batteries.

Brávo music servers are complete multi -source and multi -zone whole -house audio systems that include wireless touch -screen control, multiple inputs, and industry -leading features like "Follow Me", which allows homeowners to move their music effortlessly from room to room as they move throughout the house. The Brávo system is available in one -, four -, eight -, twelve -, sixteen -, and twenty -zone configurations.

The Universal MX -850 will be available in January 2005 from authorized Meda dealers. It can be seen with Meda's Brávo music servers and other outstanding products in Booth 21813, Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall 1, during CES.
