LAS VEGAS, NV (January 5, 2005) - - Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, the nation's premier specialty retailer of entertaining consumer electronics solutions, today unveils the future of consumer electronics retailing at its new Tweeter Entertainment Architects prototype store in Summerlin, Nevada.

The Tweeter Entertainment Architects store features HP's Digital Entertainment Center, which is built on the powerful Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 operating system. The store will provide a living demonstration of this technology in a digital home setting, one which has never been seen before in a retail location. Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 -based PCs are at the center of digital home environment as they enable consumers to enjoy their entertainment, communication, productivity, learning, and other experiences anywhere, anytime. The HP Media Center PCs will connect the rooms of Tweeter's home -like showroom allowing the consumer to experience television, music, photos and more in a notional digital home consisting of a living room, kitchen, bedroom, sports bar, office and even an outdoor setting.

In addition to HP Digital Entertainment Center, the new Tweeter Entertainment Architects store will feature a number of exciting technologies designed to complete the personalized entertainment experience for the consumer. Tweeter has selected a number of new industry partners for this store including: Cabinet Tronix, Control4, D -BOX, Focal & Audison, Kaleidescape, Krell, Niveus, Salton/Icebox LLC, Sound Advance, and Vision Art. The store will also feature new products from existing Tweeter partners including the Alpine F#1 line, the JBL performance home theater systems, JSP's Mozart credenza and the Sony Qualia 70" HDTV.
Tweeter customers at the Las Vegas store will find entertainment systems that are specially designed and configured for experiencing sports, movies and music in a way that makes sense for them. Using an "experience map", customers will be able to navigate through display areas - that include mobile electronics and on -the -go demonstrations in addition to home entertainment. A team of highly trained "Entertainment Architects" will collaborate with customers to develop personalized entertainment solutions in a unique in -store design studio.
