ICIA Announces Strong Sales of Exhibition Space for InfoComm 05

Exhibitors Reserve Nearly 90 Percent of Available Space at Top AV, Communications and System Integration Trade Show

FAIRFAX, VA, December 2, 2004 - The International Communications Industries Association, Inc.® (ICIA®) announces that nearly 90 percent of the exhibition space for the 2005 InfoComm Conference and Exhibition has been committed to exhibitors more than six months in advance of opening day. InfoComm, the premier conference and exhibition for the AV communications and systems integration industry, is expected to attract over 25,000 visitors in 2005, and will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, June 4 -10, 2005.

InfoComm 05 will feature a brand new Digital Signage Pavilion, Residential Systems Integration Pavilion and Security Pavilion in addition to the successful Pro Lighting and Staging Pavilion, Streaming Media/Video Production and Conferencing pavilions; and an exciting line -up of special events, educational courses and award programs.

Enjoying strong early sales, the Show has received commitments to date from over 400 companies for over 252,000 square feet of exhibition space, 88 percent of the total amount available. With less than 35,000 square feet remaining, sales are continuing at an enthusiastic pace.

InfoComm 05 is also expected to attract many new buyers and end users of AV technology, for a number of reasons. Many organizations, including corporations, museums, universities, educational institutions, associations, hospitals, government agencies, military installations, and religious organizations are joining the association and planning to be represented at InfoComm. In addition, InfoComm is holding events with a number of groups that are expecting to increase end -user attendance, primarily in education, worship, government and corporate markets.

InfoComm Pavilions

InfoComm 05 dedicated exhibition venues include a new Digital Signage Pavilion, which is designed to provide solutions and applications of digital signage for corporations, educational institutions and retail environments. Also new in 2005 will be the addition of a Residential Systems Integration Pavilion featuring products and technologies for home electronic systems. One fifth of ICIA's dealer members currently are in the home market and the vast majority of dealers, distributors and installers believe the home market offers excellent business opportunities. This InfoComm 05 pavilion will be a valuable resource to InfoComm attendees to find products and services for the home market and to provide education for them to be successful in the home integration marketplace. Security products and services will also be highlighted for both commercial and residential security applications in the InfoComm Security Pavilion.

Additional dedicated areas include the Streaming Media/Video Production Pavilion, sponsored by publisher PRIMEDIA, Inc.; and the Collaborative Conferencing Pavilion, hosted by the Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA). More than 250 audio companies are also generally concentrated in an area on the InfoComm Show Floor, which offers a full range of exhibits for display and projection, controls, networking, interfacing, sound systems, furniture and racks.

The Streaming Media/Video Production Pavilion, sponsored by Primedia Business, has sold out every year since its debut at InfoComm 03. The pavilion brings together exhibitors offering products, services and technologies aimed at the creation, editing, encoding, hosting, management and distribution of video and audio over the Internet and internal IP networks. It also features a special education area where attendees can learn more about the capabilities of streaming media and how to implement the latest technologies, as well as video production products and services.

No longer a novelty technology, streaming media have penetrated the mainstream to become an important method of conducting communications and presentations. Today, streaming media is used by corporations, government agencies, retail outlets, and schools and universities for a wide range of applications, including employee and client communication, training, distance learning and digital signage.

The Conferencing Pavilion, also launched successfully in 2003, will again feature companies offering solutions in video -conferencing, audio -conferencing and Web -conferencing. Attendees will have an opportunity to explore the latest technologies for implementing video - and audio -conferencing, as well as products, supplies and related accessories.

Exhibit space is selling quickly - - companies interested in exhibiting at InfoComm are invited to contact John Woodstock, InfoComm Director of Sales, at jwoodstock@infocomm.org.
