Silicon Optix's Realta' chip with Hollywood Quality Video (HQV') has been selected from more than 800 entries as a CES 2005 Innovations Design and Engineering Honoree.
San Jose, Calif. (Nov 12, 2004) - Silicon Optix's Realta' chip with Hollywood Quality Video (HQV') has been selected from more than 800 entries as a CES 2005 Innovations Design and Engineering Honoree.
The award -winning Realta chip originates from Teranex's $60,000 broadcast and post -production platforms. Teranex's software algorithms run on Realta's fully -programmable, trillion operations per second video processing engine to deliver a new standard in image quality, a standard Silicon Optix is calling 'Hollywood Quality Video', or HQV.
"The Realta HQV processor has won four awards since it was announced just two months ago, said Dennis Crespo, VP of Marketing, Silicon Optix. "The experts have recognized that Realta's video quality and fully -programmable approach is the future for home theater video processing."
As standards continue to evolve, the Realta HQV processor allows TVs or DVD players to download new software patches or upgrades, thus 'future proofing' end -users' investments in HQV -enabled products.
The Realta HQV chip will be showcased at the 2005 International CES, meeting room N106, January 6 -9, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
