CompTIA at Electronic House Expo - Booth, Mock Testing and More

The CompTIA Home Technology Integrator (HTI+TM) certification exam is a cross-industry, vendor-neutral credential validating a standard of excellence for technology professionals in the integrated home networks industry.

Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., November 2, 2004 - CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, is pleased to announce its participation in Electronic House Expo (EHX) Fall 2004, November 15 -18 in Long Beach, California. CompTIA activities at the event include hosting of a booth (# B1719) in the exhibition hall, as well as sponsorship of the EHX Internet Café and the EHX VAR (Value -Added Reseller) Day. The Internet Café will feature mock CompTIA HTI+ certification exams.


The CompTIA Home Technology Integrator (HTI+TM) certification exam is a cross -industry, vendor -neutral credential validating a standard of excellence for technology professionals in the integrated home networks industry. The CompTIA HTI+ certification measures the mastery of core competencies regarding the installation, integration and troubleshooting of the following automated home sub -systems: home security, audio/video, computer networks, electrical wiring, heating/air conditioning systems (HVAC), cable/satellite, broadband, telecommunications and structured wiring.

As a sponsor of the EHX Internet Café, CompTIA will be offering free mock testing for the CompTIA HTI+ certification exam. Home technology professionals and potential certification candidates will have the opportunity to test their skills in preparation for the CompTIA HTI+ certification exam.

VAR Day is a half -day seminar series for VARs looking to expand their businesses by capitalizing on the booming digital convergence market. The merging of IT and consumer electronics products, or digital convergence, offers profitable business opportunities for resellers.
