Home Media Networks And VBox Communications Bring Digital TV To The PC

Home Media Networks Ltd, developer of network -capable home entertainment software, today announced that VBox Communications, a leading provider of digital broadcast receivers, has picked ShowShifter to add advanced media center capabilities to its digital TV receivers.

ShowShifter DVB, Home Media Networks' award -winning digital home media center software will be part of VBox Communications' DTT -150 digital TV receivers, which bring digital TV and enhanced TV services directly to the PC. Featuring support for DVB -T video and audio, the DTT -150 receivers are compatible with all current and future enhanced TV broadcasts.

ShowShifter allows users to watch, record and time -shift (pause) TV, play DVDs, CDs and MP3 music files all through one interface. The ability to control ShowShifter with a remote control and its unique Farview interface enables the consumer to use the product from anywhere in the room with a simple, unified interface for all home entertainment components (DVR, DVD, CD, etc. players), as with conventional home entertainment products.
