CHANNELPLUS INTRODUCES A NEW MUSIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

Provides independent listening and control of up to 6 sources, 6 zones, with 480 watts of system power

ChannelPlus, a unit of the Linear Electronics Group, has announced the availability of an ALL NEW compact, self -contained music distribution system with true whole -house audio capability. Designated the MDS -6A, the new system allows independent listening and independent control of up to six different audio sources in up to six distinct listening locations, while delivering 480 watts of system power at 40 watts per channel over its 12 channels. The system is easily expandable to 12 zones using a second MDS -6A and a cascade kit part #MDS -PCK.


The six source/six zone MDS -6A is easy to install and maintain, and both quick and simple to program. It features removable speaker terminals and RJ -45 output ports. Source -specific, routed, IR output ports allow use of multiple "same make/same model" source components without compatibility issues or interference. An all -IR port is also built in. Other features include Zone On/Off Status Indicators, Page / Doorbell Input and Trigger, as well as Music on Hold.

Music control for the MDS -6A is provided by either a ChannelPlus MCS -1A or MCS -2A dual color, back -lighted keypad. Soft Touch Buttons (Caps can be customized). Both incorporate an IR target that allows control of the connected music source. The user is provided with complete system status feedback, including source selection; zone on/off; volume level; mute; do not disturb; whole -house music status. The MCS -1A is a single gang controller; the MCS -2A is a double gang controller that includes a full learning keypad with 500 on -board URI source codes. Connects via RJ -45 connector. Up to two controllers per speaker zone. MCS -2A additional features: Easy to program Macros (25 Macros, up to 10 steps each). Squirt and Learn Access port. Data Cloning between controllers

The MDS -6A is also available in kits. MDS -6A KIT1 includes an MDS -6A with four MCS -1A and two MCS -2A controllers plus six IR emitters. MDS -6A KIT2 includes an MDS -6A with six MCS -1A plus six IR emitters.
