JACKSONVILLE, FL - September 2, 2004 - Phase Technology, American designer and manufacturer of home entertainment speakers, announced it has teamed up with A -BUS to offer the PT A -BUS multi -room audio distribution packages. Phase Technology offers its acclaimed in -wall speakers with A -BUS distribution technology to provide dealers with complete whole -house audio packages that give customers outstanding sound and intuitive system control. Phase Technology is debuting its PT A -BUS systems at CEDIA EXPO 2004 in Indianapolis, Indiana at Booth # 529.

Phase Technology offers five PT -BUS components for integration with its elegant in -wall speakers to give dealers everything needed to tailor systems that give customers powerful audio performance and attractively match the surrounding décor. PT -BUS components are easy to install and make controlling sources simple for end -users. Phase Technology offers several components as part of its PT -BUS line including:
HUB -1 - Acts as the system's "brain," converting source audio signals for distribution via cat -5 cable in addition to providing power. Multiple hubs can be linked via a RJ -45 jack to expand sound distribution to the needed number of rooms. Auto signal -sensing or a 12 volt trigger can be used for on/off control. The HUB -1 features the following inputs: 1 RJ -45, 4 pair (L/R) RCA, 2.5mm DC power socket, local IR Xantech™ -compatible screw terminals, 2.1mm 12V 100 -300mAmp, and outputs: 4 x RJ -45 to four rooms, 1 x RJ -45 (to additional HUB), 4 x 3.5mm sockets for IR, 12 volt trigger from local IR status terminal
AS -1 - Audio selector integrates four sources into the PT -BUS system. Outputs loop sources back to a receiver, such as at the main home theater system. The AS -1 includes the following inputs: 4 pair (L/R) RCA, and outputs: 4 x 3/5mm IR sockets, 1 x RJ -45 (to HUB), 4 pair (L/R) RCA, 12V trigger.
TP -1 - In -wall volume control with integrated A -BUS stereo power module. It features touch button (up and down) control and an infrared receiving window.
VC -1 - In -wall volume control with integrated A -BUS stereo power module. The VC -1 features a rotary volume control.
LM -1 - Local Input Module with stereo (L/R) RCA inputs for adding a source in any room. The LM -1 features automatic signal switching and 1 pair (L/R) RCA inputs.
LRC -1 - Learning Remote Control incorporates the functions of all the sources' original remotes. It is programmed by entering manually entering product codes or simply by lining up the LRC -1's IR window with another remote's to initiate function transport.
RM -1 - Credit card -sized remote allows volume control and source selection when used with the AS -1 or any A -BUS equipped receiver, from any room.
The PT A -BUS System distinguishes itself from traditional audio distribution systems by placing local amplifiers in each room or zone, instead of using a central multi -channel amp. This avoids signal dissipation that can result from long speaker wire runs. PT A -BUS uses a single cat -5 wire to run source audio from the HUB -1 to the rooms' power modules (integrated with volume controls). The signal is ultimately transmitted to speakers with a short wire run, which guarantees sound is robust and precisely balanced. Even speakers in the audio zones furthest from sources produce high -quality sound, and since less cable is required, installations are faster and more cost efficient.
PT A -BUS systems provide a customized and intuitive entertainment experience. Music can be distributed to every room in a home or office while giving each user the ability to control the sound in their room. Using the LRC -1 learning remote control, users can access source transport functions (play, pause, track skip, etc), and adjust the volume from any room via the TP -1's IR -receiving window. The RM -1 credit card -sized remote controls volume and source selection, and is the perfect supplement for the kitchen, den, or patio. The LM -1 local input module allows a new source to be immediately enjoyed through a room's speakers without disturbing the sound in other zones. Both TP -1 and VC -1 in -wall volume controls and the LM -1 come in white, ivory, and almond.
Phase Technology's in -wall speakers seamlessly integrate with any interior and perfectly complement A -BUS technology in delivering high -fidelity sound that doesn't intrude on décor.
